The 2K keeps amaze me from time to time with how big of engine it can cram into it's stomach while still being viable.

I'm faster than a 'Crow!

I was happy when I managed to fit an XL325 and proceeded to fly across the battlefield. Now I need to find 5.7mil to buy an XL350

Not bad...

Even though it's not the premier IS medium anymore I always have fun in the Shadow Hawk.

I prefer SHD-2K to Jäger with dual Gauss in CW. The Jäger is slower, don't have JJ, and more delicate.

That is a very situational build. My personal issue is with the long duration of ERLLs. With clanners running around 50pt alphas on fast cooldowns, your STs will get popped since you need extended time on target to put our your full damage potential.

You need to fully exploit the Shadowhawk's left torso head level hardpoints!

When doing that, the enemies can only see laser beams coming out from terrain features from a distance and you will see them through your advanced zoom window just staring at your direction confusingly, unless they also bring an advanced zoom module (or have a big monitor).

Usually when I managed to find some sweet spots to do this, I could survive for a veeery long time in CW.

Been running 3 ML and 3 SRM4 on my 2K lately and it's been quite brutal in close range especially with my CD modules. The heat is very low and if you can get them to shoot your arms first then you can probably take down a King Crab on your own face-to-face.

SHD-2K

Of course smarter folk trick you with 1 small shot to the arm and save the rest for when you twist back to face them.

Yeah, that's the 2K brawling build. With a dual arm shield!

Not much intelligent to add, but I'll just say that the SHD-2K has been a revelatory experience for me. I'm just a 400-game novice, and I'm seeing the kind of damage figures which I never even dreamed of. Running that thing on Alpine Peaks makes you feel so completely boss that I have no words -- I swear the next time that map loads up I'll get my first 1000-pointer.

I'm running mine with 3xERLL, 2xSRM4, an XL280, and 15 DHS. I gather that this is not quite meta: I see that most of you go with ERLL's only, or then a short-to-mid-range setup without ERLL's. I'm enjoying the SRM's for those occasional close encounters, which I do try to avoid though.

Here's mine. Damage averages around 400 consistently every match so far
SHD-2D2
SRMs set to chainfire to keep damage going when UA/C 5 jams
Good for getting into peoples faces since I usually have better DPS than them

I don't feel like that much speed is necessary. SHD-2K
