Pretty sure the majority like the challenges that offer a nice shiny mech as the reward. However there is a minority that already own all the mechs offered so far that are not as inspired by the reward.

The grab bag event was nice and it would be nice if they would occur more frequently than every three months. For me the prizes that get me to play are mech bays and GXP.

What non-mech rewards make you excited to play a challenge?

1) C-bills

2) More C-bills

3) Even Moar C-bills

The occasional "good cockpit" item may be worthwhile though, but I'm pretty sure #1-3 covers it.

You missed "MC." Just like more CB sinks will come, more MC sinks will come.

All it would take would be to include some unique event cockpit items in the pipeline for the events so they'll have shinies ready for those who don't need the mechs, bays or money.

I think the grab bag challenge is good, and suggest the following:

Instead of just having to qualify with 30 match score, make it such that every 30 match score, you get a dip. So if you do 60+ in a single match, that match gives you two chances.

Of course, this would mean PGI would have to adjust the prizes.

I'm not spending whatever MC it costs for 6.5m C-bills. :P

MC is nice... but they don't magically buy more ridiculously expensive modules. :P

Out of all the variety of event rewards (which, kudos to PGI) - the c-bill & module sale ones by far have been the most useful & favorite of mine.

Don't give them any ideas.

(Actually, if you could MC buy more stuff in-game, I'd be totally OK with that so long as you can CB buy it too). Can't tell you how many times I'd've paid MC for an extra engine.

I'm always in need of more c-bills, and MC is always welcome. I have a bit of a glut of open mech bays currently, but I won't say no to more. Occasional fun items like warhorns and cockpit decorations (or better, camo pattern unlocks) are also fine with me.

C-bills are always good, can never have too much money. Modules would also actually be a nice change of pace - maybe instead of giving you your fourth loyalty Centurion, another event could give you, say, a choice between Radar Derp, Seismic, or TIG. Or something. Since, y'know, modules are those things nobody ever has enough of unless they're folks who actually own entire Successor States. Heh, besides...giving new/poor players a chance at some of those nice, shiny modules Ye Olde Riche Guyse are always using to crack them upside the skull with can't be a bad thing, eh?

More cockpit swag is never wasted, though it'd be nice if it wasn't the cheapest and least desirable piece of current-seasonal swag in the MC store. Heh, a chance at some slick new warhorn ("HO HO HO!" warhorn for next Christmas. Give me one nyaow, Piranha) might actually make me play some of these events I mostly skip, or something else I don't already have thirteen of from 'Mech packs.

play for fun, run joke builds and have a good time. bank up some c-bills so when mechs are released for c-bills you can buy them up.

You know what? for someone who has all the stuff in the game, there should be a persistent achievement called the "Better than Last Time" achievement. Everytime you break your personal damage record, it should reward you with something. C-Bills, Title with the amount of damage, whatever. But something you can ALWAYS work on.

Unique cockpit items are even more enticing than mechs.

"Operation 24" medal cannot be bought in the mechlab, and I own two :D

Premium time is a nice reward, its almost a refund of time investment, and is something I DO use, but don't think worth paying for.

Cbills. Sure. always.
