My wallet is almost certainly out of here, just seen yet another extrememly lame art student badge and 8 bit cockpit sunglases,for the early adopter Urban 'rewards' I didn't think PGI could disapoint me more, and make me feel punished for supporting their wage bill, after their third rate design, of the Battlemaster, and the victor nerfs, but they managed it, with something so trivial, and after something so wonderfully, designed as the Stein, which made me go wow and smile and have happy thoughts about PGi, alas the sun breaks through the clouds so briefly here.

I'm still here though grumbling away and saying rude things about them, and players with dumb ideas about how to 'save' Mech warrior online.

I even played CW, as I thought the numbers would be up to make the wait tollerable, and it was barely, and I took part in puglandia, and only got rolled once by a premade, in counter attack. (clan pre made)

Another premade, we were 25% off taking omega in assault, holding it really well together until the time got short and a few people panicked with 3 minutes to go and made it easy for the premade. (also clan premade)

And I have to say the best match I've ever been in, where we, a Steiner small group and pugs beat a slightly larger group and pugs of house Marick taking Omega with only two, yes 2, seconds to go.

I bought resistance and the trashcan mech, but I think my expenditures of real world moneys is on hold for awhile until I see some improvement.

My wallet is out for now. In general I like the game. However, I do not like the direction the game is taking.

1. New Content

1.1. In general
It seems new mech packs = content. The maps get old and a lot of the maps are just terrible (Therma, Forest Colony and others)

1.2. CW
I love the idea of conquest. However, CW caters to a few simply because it pits premades vs. pugs. You might argue that this is supposed to be that way and pugs have to stay out. Fair enough, but why should I support a game financially when first its development obviously ignores my needs and secondly it caters to a minority of the game's players. Spending resources and orienting development on a niche mode in a niche game is a recipe for disaster. So why feed a potentially dead cow in hope of getting milk?

2. JJ and weapon systems
Some weapon systems are just not used and it is disco laserlight all over the place. Boring..
Then there are issues of lrms, ecm and much more.
JJ...ah well, mobility is a joke.

So far we got a new map every month, quirks were a big deal and all these mech packs were asked for by the players.

A dead cow? CW isn't even out of beta, you brat. CW was also meant as a core pillar of the game since 2011, and people were angry during the reign of IGP that they didn't get it. So maybe, just maybe, think before you vomit your brain diarrhoea here.

Dude, shut it. Seriously. You weren't here when all that was used was AC 5s, Gauss and PPCs. The only weapons that need love now are PPCs and clan ACs, all other weapons are viable now! And we have an amazing clan/IS balance.

Come on, i'm not even an Urby fan but i really like those sunglasses. They're fun and proof that PGI shows some interests in player's creations.

The badges though... It's like the Jager visual rework, you have to wonder how someone could design something so ugly and managed to convince his office that it's ok.
I mean, someone have seen this work at some point and say "good work, let's release this, it's great stuff that players will enjoy and a fine addition to the game!".

PS: i also wonder if they're actually surprised when they see player's reactions.

Well written post. And the funny thing is, the people who yell about taking their money elsewhere or PGI betraying their trust and wasting their money... seem to be the guys who spent 0-50 dollars on this game, over a period of three years.

"I spent roughly the same amount of money on this game as I spend on a beer and a burger every week, and that was three years ago.... and ever since, I have spent hours every week as a masked vigilante whose purpose is to sow seeds of destruction and anarchy on the mwomercs forum! I think the main reason for boomerang haters is that PGI have the Mechwarrior rights, so when they get to the point that they'd simply stop playing a different game and never return there isn't any other modern Battletech game to go to instead. Being the only Mechwarrior game in town has made PGI a ton of money, but a captive audience are a curse as well as a blessing when you get things wrong and they hang around forever shouting at you about it.
