Why is CPLT the only abbreviation that's 4 letters?

In addition, why is it not CAT?

Shout out to BJ for being a 2-char abbreviation; that's some sexual min/max. Couldn't even go with BLJ, was like "na, **** that, BJ, let em know what I'm about."

So in this lore the Timberwolf would register as "Mad CPLT" on the IS comps?

Model CPLT-C1

from sarna CPLT is legit im just sayin, its ****** wonky.

Model MAD-3

Why does the Timber Wolf get called Mad Cat if it's referencing the abbreviation of the Marauder, but the first 3 letters of Catapult. **** is convoluted.

The Catapult is almost exclusively a Capellan mech, it's possible none of the factions on the invasion front have the proper designation in their targeting systems. Same reason we have different names for clan mechs, basically.

Probably because sci-fi lore writers have been shoehorning stories to make sense since the dawn of our civilization.

Anyone who is remotely familiar with Warhammer 40,000 will be familiar with how Games Workshop (the creators) basically took 20 years worth of lore for different factions and decided to shoehorn everything into one big conspiracy in order to make one of their newest faction (Necrons and C'tan) seem more appealing, for example. Retconning ftw

I am a total nabb when it comes to BT lore, but I've been told that it suffers from a bit of retconning and shoehorning too.
