First of all I hope all the HARDKORS out there all play with joysticks, because no selfrespecting mechwarrior fan plays with anything less. Or is that to hardcore and to difficult for you?

Second I enjoy to build my own mechs but they are improvements to their original design. I want my mechs to still look
like the lore pictures and fulfill that role. I want to put LRMs on my heavier mechs, because IMO thats where LRMs belong.
I hate that mechs I build become less viable by adding nerfs or quirks that strongly suggest I must put something else on them that I am not comfortable with. Had to replace all my gauss rifles with ultra autocannons because of that charge up thing.
And I don't even like those because of the jamming. But otherwise I cannot fully utilize all the tonnage without making major alterations.

I am a solo player by choice, mainly because the game is so boring I need to listen to music to enjoy it somehow. I don't think I am a bad solo player either. I can read my teammates pretty good and assist and direct without communicating at all.
Actions speak louder than words anyway. I prefer the pug queue for its randomness and variation. I wouldnt mind dropping with groups so much if it wasn't so lame either way.

CW is absolutely not worth the time. Waiting ages to get a drop then wait another decade to get killed instantly or play a boring long range war of attrition. I'll pass.
Yes I want a solo que as I said a few times before. I also want PVE. I want a coop campaign. I don't see how any of this would take anything away from the large groups? Just make some adjustments to existing maps for other game modes.
I also wouldn't mind if teams could drop with less than a full team. 9 vs 11 so what? There's your challenge right there.

The LFG feature seems to be another fail. A join now button for CW would have been much better IMO. And I don't give a **** why this won't work under the current system. Make it work. 3 minutes to get into a match is already to long.

As it stands now, I already signed OPs petition weeks ago. Didn't even bother to win at least a single item in the competition. And that was CW at its best? Not impressed.

Who decides what Mech to use?
Who decides what weapons to mount?
Who decides what modules to use if any?
Who decides what engine to use, how many heat sinks and what type, ECM, CAP/BAP, etc., etc., etc.?

Meh! it will be so devoid of variety and imagination I will not want anything to do with it.

Both use trial mechs, no modules, no skill upgrades.

Joysticks? Mice? Keyboards? You're all so 20th Century.

It's not really a solo queue, but it should be fun for the daring types.

IMO telling pugs to not play CW is counter productive to the development of CW..

But but! PUGs and other plebs are not even supposed to enter elitist mode. Except of course as "fillers". They might want to hold competitions for one of those filler slots.

The problem in CW is not with pugs vs. premades, it's with "solo" players who refuse to work with a team, turn off voip, ignore text chat, and then come to the forums to insult the "leet pro meta tryhards who only want to win". CW is and should be a place to bring your A game and work with your team.

In my experience, in CW this is mostly not the case, more so in the regular PUG queue, were sometimes one of those guys gets loose.

When you have people proudly exclaiming that they are never going to get on a team or that they don't run the meta, it's a toxic environment.

How's that? Note that those people did not say "work together as a team" but "join a unit".

This game has a SOLO queue (note neither WoT nor WT has this-why?) in a MULTIPLAYER TEAM game. Think about that for a second. a mode made for people that don't want to operate in a team.

Again (considering writing this larger and bold...): It's not people who don't want to operate in a team, but who don't want to join a unit. Call them ad-hoc-Team Players, if that's more precise and helps you to draw the line.

This cannot be quoted many times enough and in big, bold letters.

Lack of players is why we can't have nice things. Blaming new players doesn't really help fix anything. CW is not dying from forum QQ it is dying from lack of players. Which is a shame as it is only mode I really enjoy playing anymore.

And how on earth can lack of players be countered with a mode inaccessible to all but the most elite, most stubborn (grind...) and most devoted people every touching a mouse? Or do you really think the influx of 1-2 new players per month will save CW?

I'm in a group - all casual players - and on those rare occasions when we've been able to fill out most of a 12 man, we've done a CW drop and had fun; even when we've lost (which is more often than we've won) we've still given a good account of ourselves, gotten kills, C-bills, XP, etc.

It's all good.

Not so the times I've dropped as a solo; the matchmaker invariably has put me with a bunch of other solos, and I've always ended up against a co-ordinated team of 10 or more . . . the results were ugly. Sure, I got a few kills here and there, but when my 3rd mech is already being shot up as it drops, I know it's pretty much over.

When this is the NORMAL result of a solo drop in CW . . . well, I'll be staying away from CW for a while. Getting stomped every time gets old real fast - it would be like a bunch of random guys in the neighborhood playing a pick-up game of basketball facing off against a different NBA team when they hit the court - every single time.
