Quick question. I know the ultra ac/20 can double tap and possibly jam vs the regular ac/20. So if the ultra is a better weapon why does it cost less in the mech lab? Does the regular clan ac/20 have a perk compared to the ultra version? If the ultra is better then why does it cost less?

The normal Clan AC/20 is a placeholder for the Clan LBX guns being unable to select ammo types. I suspect they just copied and pasted the LBX price along those lines as well.

The "normal' clan Auto canons shouldn't even be in the game, as they were put in as place holders for ammo switching LB-X AC's that I have a funny feeling that they are becoming a permanent hing.

Thanks for the quick responses. So basically there is no reason to buy the regular clan AC/20 unless you just like spending more money for an inferior weapon.

C/UAC should totally be

AC2: 1 shot, 0.5s CD
AC5: 1 shot, 1.25s CD
AC10: 2 shots, 2s CD
AC20: 4 shots, 3.25s CD

Remove the double rate crap, remove the jam chance and simply let CUACs fire a little faster then their IS counterparts with a slight burst thing goin, except for the AC2 and 5...they get improved RoF and single shot...

So yes, make Clan Ballistics kinda outright better then IS....atleast the AC2 and 5.

Well, not exactly. If you look at the weapon stats carefully, the AC (and of course LBX AC) stats are different from the UAC stats. UAC's are still generally better, but an argument can be made for the lower heat AC10 and longer ranged AC2.

And cost is related to TT costs and has pretty much nothing to do with MWO effectiveness, for anything.

Don't think something expensive is better than something cheap.
