I assume I am NARCed as soon as the Lurms hit me the second time. Paranoia is a great life-saver.

Yeah, always better to assume it's NARC if you can't tell otherwise - what you do when NARC'ed will help just as well vs. anything else, so...


With that said, my experience has been that 99% of the time, I see the guy NARC me. This, because I don't let people run up close behind me. I see a NARC beacon (they're huge, hard to miss) fly towards me, I immediately assume I'm NARCed. Sure, he may have missed, but I'm much happier maintaining my "practically never die to LRM's" status than being that pathetic half-wit crying about "Skillless LRM noobs" killing them.

Still, we REALLY should have an on-screen indicator when NARC'ed.

Also: If you see a pug-mate NARCed? ***king say something.

a good ECM light will cover narced pilots.
sadly. all the ecm lights are 2 er Large Laser ravens that run away as far as possible to snipe.
