so playing CW and everyone in a wail you get a no show enemy team,
a match where you have a full 12 man but their are no enemies,

this can happen for several reasons,
1) their arnt enough defenders in the planets que,
2) their are enough in the que but a team cant be built in time,

when one of theses Instant win matches starts,
your teams only opposition is the base defenses,
which is as close to PVE in MWO, as you get right now,
which is not as fun as you think(Turret warrior online),
which can last 2-5 minutes and doesn't feel too rewarding,

so my solution to this is,
a DropPod Boss battle,

this is the Match set up,
you head into the base seeing no opposition,
you and your team move and take down one of the Gates,
then suddenly, from the sky and landing in the center of the map,

The Mauder DropPod,
this boss you and your team now have to fight,
the DropPod has 8LL Turrents around the base,
the top Chassis and torso has its own health,
each Mauder arm has 2 Gauss Rifles,
and each side Torso has 1 LRM 20,
its Center Torso has 2 LPLs,

all or most of the Code for the boss is based,
on the Turret Code that is already in the game,
-
the 2 LPL in the Mauder CT are bound and move with it,
-
the Guass arms and LRM studs can target units individually,
each acts as Turrets but can only fire toward the front of the Mauder,
90 degrees ether side of where the CT is facing,
-
both the Guass and LRM arms, on each side can target targets individually,
and each will only fire once before targeting another, this is to prevent Focused Fire,
this means the Mauder can target 5 different units at any time,
-
the 8LL-Turrets attached to the Mauders base are just that LL-Turrets,
also each component has its own health and has to be destroyed independently,
the Mauders Arms and back Torsos have to be destroyed before the CT can be,
-
in this type match the Mauder counts as the 3 small Omega Gens,
destroying the Mauder will open the barriers on the Omega gun,

Now The Mauder DropPod does not Exist in BT Lore,
i looked at several pictures and made this Mech/DropPod Hybred,
also sorry for the Model seeming abit Boxy i put it together in an hour or so,

Thoughts, Comments, Concerns?
Thanks,

It would either be easy or imposible to kill. Currently turrents pick a body part and hit100% of the time unless there is terrain. This is bad ai but works for the purposes of the game. Makes for a ****** boss.

Also not a lot different from what we hve.

I think they have the capacity to develop intelligent AI....just look some of the AI on other games, something that can learn by your mistakes.

I think your on the right track but personally I think a different route needs to be taken. As it is you wait for an OPFOR for 10 minutes or until a team is formed whichever happens first. I believe that instead if the 10 minutes elapse either A) any OPFOR players that were waiting in queue should be placed in team with AI controlled Hunchbacks (for Inner Sphere) or Hunchback IIc (for Clan, requires implementing the IIC versions as non-customizable second-line mechs) that fire at what the players fire at and fall it with the Lance Commanders of the drop (or Company Commander if too few players) or B ) you drop against a pure AI force of Hunchback/Hunchback IIc.

Sounds like more fun than turret-tech.
