  • Clan mechs are powerhouses, though at this point It seems more like a choice rather than an unresolved problem.
  • Conversly, clan ballistics are as not good as they were upon introduction. Simple fix here is lower duration.
  • LBXs still only have one fire mode, still only have 90m effective range; still fail to compete.
  • The AC2 continues its saga of fail, even without ghost heat. Definitely not made for damage/second/ton, or sustainable dps, or... anything.
  • Jump Jets suck balls.
  • Most ballistics (including ppcs) are still too slow. I once figured that the pre nerf AC10 was probably the best reference point for a speed/range ratio that could be used for all projectile weapons. The formula I came up with was (max range) x 1.2 (with the gauss as a special case). As you can surely tell, everything but the gauss/ac2/20 falls short of the necessary speed to be relatively consistent at its optimal range. The most notable is the ERPPC, which should be 1944, but is only 1150.
  • PPC min range is still there, still annoying, and still provides a binary, unnecessary, and unwanted addition to the weapons "balance".
  • Not a single new (standard) map.
  • Ghost heat, and while I didn't have much hope for this one, finding a replacement to this system would've been one of the most noticeable ways to remove that lingering feeling of annoyance that's always lurking over your shoulder, because at this point in the game, It's like an obstacle course trying to put together a creative yet still useful loadout that doesn't induce ghost heat. It sort of forces your weapon choice into a small logical group.

With the lack of changes in practically any noticeable area of the game, especially when the game could definitely still be improved on, makes me wonder what they've been doing for the last 5 months.

Yeah, that was my thought, it seems like not long ago those two were released.

Map resources got sucked up by CW understandably. Though I was hoping they would be working on CW and non-CW maps simultaneously instead of just one at a time.

As primarily a PUGer I'd like a larger version of Forest Colony without the dense fog, similar to the new CW map that's coming out this month.

Pugs get no rights. We exist to be cannon fodder.

Part of the problem is they are trying to bandaid their crappy random hit detection problem with constant changes to mechs when the real underlying problem is bandwidth and hit detection code.

You complaints are petty, and if addressed, would not help the community as a whole. I would reflect on larger issues with the game. If you issue are so minute and so insurmountable, it is unlikely you will every be happy with MWO.

yes. i think we can all agree that the last five months have been stagnant. especially when you compare it to that whirlwind of development they had in 2013.

I do not want to even imagine the hitbox issues with MASC.

Some of that stuff is on going development. Some of that stuff is just who cares.

I hope they keep progressing. But if there was one thing I wish they would truly fix. It's hit registration.

How is something like clan ballistics being terrible a petty complaint? He may not have used the most diplomatic of wording, but his points are valid nonetheless.

They're that way on purpose; small, concise annoyances, most with quick fixes, most still ignored. That's the disappointing part.

I've thought about the larger issues as well, but those are more complex and generally involve guesswork, leading to multiple conflicting conclusions. No need to add another voice to those well discussed topics.

And those issues are definitely not insurmountable.
