That game was shelved, as no publishers were willing to pick it up.
MechWarrior Online is a completely different game.
And PGI has already stated that we will have no more Unseen 'Mechs in the game. That means no Wasp, Stinger, Valkyrie, Phoenix Hawk, Rifleman, Longbow, Archer, Crusader, Warhammer, Marauder, or Marauder II. That was a very disappointing decision. but best to avoid protracted legal battles I guess.

Also, because they got sued into the stone age for having that Warhammer in it XD

That being said...
Fire Moth, Viper (WHY DID PGI CHOOSE SHADOW CAT. GAWD), Linebacker, Turkina, Wolfhound, Crab, Champion, and Annihilator, from the choices. (Though several of the IS assaults appeal to me

The war dog has 2 variants one of which has 2 pieces of equipment not available in MWO. Some variants are made up by PGI or are slightly altered but with 2 strikes against the war dog and me not being a developer I decided to leave it off the list
The Penetrator has a production year of 3053. My hard cut off was 3052 since that is the latest PGI has taken influence from thus far

While one of my personal favorite IS assault mechs it didn't make the list because it has a production year of 3053

You mean the Behemoth (IS name for the clan Stone Rhino) behemoth? yeah it is a non-Omnimech clan mech. No non-Omnimech clan mechs made the list as PGI hasn't released any non-Omnimechs for the clans yet

I didn't check any of your other ones... But the Ymir is from 2462, was designed to replace The Mackie. You're thinking of the Ragnarok alternate variant from MechAssault.
He said ComStar vault mechs were acceptable.

Production ended with the destruction of the factory at the earliest 2830 and latest 2864 (second succession war) and then only resumed production in 3057. It says nowhere that it went extinct, only that it became more rare.
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
You are correct that it went extinct in general use but Comstar had many originals stockpiled in their secret vaults which came out and into service with the Com Guards and with several being given to the DCMS
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
Again it states that the production lines were destroyed during the second succession war but nothing about the actual mech going extinct. Production resumed in 3058
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
It states that the production line was destroyed and that fewer than 300 exist which constitutes rare not extinct.
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
Production ceased and halted During the succession wars up until after the Jihad era when a need for mechs regardless of quality saw them put back into production but nowhere does it state that the mech ceased to see field action.
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
States that it was not produced since the Aramis Civil War….I’ll give that with that date it is likely extinct but it never actually states that it is extinct so I included it.

Production line destroyed in second succession war but was a common mech for the AFFS, started being produced again in 3058. Never states that it went extinct.
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
Lore states that it was a rare mech and became increasingly rare but it never went extinct, it also states that it was regularly fielded by Com Guards during the clan invasion.
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
Lore specifically states that there “were few left on the battlefield”, not “none”, not “extinct”, but “few”
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
And I quote “until the factory producing the Lynx was destroyed in 2928 by Marik raiders. The few remaining Lynxes were ultimately cannibalized for whatever could be salvaged. The Lynx did not see production again until 3056.” So they were only not produced for 128 years during which time the more damaged units were used to repair and re-outfit less damaged models but they never technically went extinct and then in 3056 they were back in production.
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
The lore states that production stopped in the early succession wars but that it was one a fairly common mech in the LCAF. It started production again after the clan invasion but never listed as extinct.
TheArisen, on 09 April 2015 - 06:49 AM, said:
Became extinct in the general Inner Sphere Armies but Com Guards had a bunch in secret vaults.
Just because something has stopped being produced doesn’t mean that it is automatically extinct. That's like saying that because Ford doesn’t make the Model T anymore it is extinct even though a quick google search will show tons of restored and currently existing, perfect running condition Model Ts.
I said in my conditions that unless the lore specifically stated that a mech was extinct it was included even if it was super rare. I didn’t state “if common sense states that most likely, more likely than not, in all probability it is extinct….” I’m aware that some of these mechs were probably extinct but unless there is a source telling me specifically that it no longer exists I decided not to cut it. I also included mechs that only existed Ina ComStar vault somewhere.
As far as the wasp goes, if you had read my edits on my original post, you will see that I had thought I removed all of the unseen mechs and why I did so. It was an oversight
