There is a way to do it. It was done in public queue. But PGI has other plans, they're stuck on CW being "hardmode" (its not really, more like "min/max, chase the meta mode" and they've shown no signs of changing that direction.

We know they're working on a 4v4, but have no details what that is.

The main problem is they keep enticing casuals with calls to arms. Which is kinda like clubbing baby seals for the big competitive groups.

there are good pugs and bad pugs, good 12 mans and bad 12 mans. good pugs can defeat bad 12 mans. i prefer to pug in cw.

with that out of the way what is needed, and i brought this up elsewhere, is a way to choose a target with different tiers of difficulty vs reward. i was thinking of a 3 line front. you have the main line and the second line (the enemy has their own second line for 3 lines). you can attack the enemy's second line with an advance raid. the deeper into the battle you drop, the lower the tonnage you are allotted for the drop, but the rewards for victory go up.

an elite unit would do an advance attack opt for a deck full of lights and meds against a more heavily equipped garrison force. a casual team might opt for garrison duty on a second line world. the rewards are less but the advantage is in your favor. a moderately skilled team might opt for the fair front line fight.

if you can effortlessly farm pugs in a fair fight, then you probibly have the ability to do more with less and get 1.25x the points for it. garrison duty only nets you 0.75x the points and if you arent very good, you can still get victories and lp. the game doesn't force you into it either, you just pick planets like you do now. only some of them are garrison worlds and some are considered front line.

CW should be renamed to "Premade Warfare", cuz "Community" just doesnt fit it's bill.

Community kinda implies everyone can come, have fun, play and have a good time. It just is not that at all...its the side with the most premades wins....

Power fantasies = money.

So why should PGI do something about it?

To broaden the customer base I hear you saying. Check their other decisions. It is whaling season. Always was.
