It works out as an assasin right now with SPL, but IMO any time a mech is crammed into one particular specialized niche something is wrong.

i would like to see this and maybe some Energy Quirks,
1) Heat(the S/A arms should get more of a Bonus than the P Arms)
2) Range(Unlikely but would love to see this for the S/A arms)
3) Duration(would really help balance the S/A arms)

I announced it on the PGI Dev Group Stream today so I will announce it here as well:
The next mechs to get a full quirks pass are:
- Mist Lynx
- Kit Fox
- Nova
- Warhawk
- Adder
- Ice Ferret
- Summoner
- Gargoyle
The next patch is on April 7.

I disliked the super short range of the SPLs, so I ran mine with 6x MPLs (three per arm), cAP, TC1 and a pair of DHSs.
They do amazingly well for me. I do have to understand their limitations and how toasty they can get, but I've got an average 1.5 KDR with them.
I love em.
Thank you, Soy.

They kinda need to offset those 20% and 50% heat nerfs.
Glass cannon is a nice role for the NopeVa, but the heat nerfs really put a damper on that. If it loses heat gen, but doesn't gain any armour of structure...it's not a Cannon, but it's still glass.

Shall I post my dozen 1k+ damage NopeVa rounds?
This method of PGI OP PLZ NERF has been debunked. In the PUG LIFE, you come across opportunities where Lolcusts have done the same. Better, actually. That's only three kills.

I agree with Mcgral18, over 1k damage and only 3 kills, tells me that you need to go back to gunnery school, you're being too inefficient and ineffective with your damage.

With the Stock build its called not allowing myself to overheat and die, and I'm not greedy about getting kills. I stick and move.

A glass cannon in her hand
I knew she was gonna dump her lancemates
But at her rear was a Firestarter, man
I went down to the official forums
To get my fair share of abuse
Reading "we need a bunch of useless buffs,
if we don't, we're gonna ***** in the InnerSphereNews"
I surfed over to the smurfy mechlab
To get your Nova a real build
I was tinkering up a small pulse boat
Mr Inouye was lookin pretty ill
We decided that we would have a convo
My favorite mechs about to get nerfed
I spammed my whine to Mr Inouye
He said one word to me and that was "meta"
You can't always get what you want
But if you cry sometime
You just might find
Paul quirks what you need
I saw Nova today before quirkception
In her hand was a glass cannon
Mastering the art of deception
I could tell by the blood-stained Seismic

Not claiming it needs nerfs. Just saying its not as bad as people make it out to be. I'm not an elite player, but did the above with a STOCK nova. Knowing how not to overheat is the biggest part, and a little luck of not turning a corner into a quad AC5 Whale..lol

Well, that's the PUG LIFE.
Look how the other side did. Not a person over 400 damage. I spy 2 good robots? Your team wasn't much better off in that regard, but you did get more competent pilots, which I suppose is the more important part.

It's not about being greedy, it's about going for parts that are very hard to spreed damage on, legs, heads, rear armour (usually the softest part of a mech). I've seen Mcgral post 1300 damage games in his WUBshee, with 9 kills, like I said, high damage numbers and little kills tells me you were not being efficient nor effective. I enjoy my sub 700 damage games that net me 2-5 kills, more than I enjoy 700+ damage games, with 1-3 kills.

back that threshold down to 300 dmg and they had 5 to our 3, one of which was only 12 points over their best. So we had two stand outs with a lot more average, But yeah, it does show that 1 or 2 standouts can really sway a match.
But I get the impression that most who pilot a nova (especially in stock config) consider surviving a match a major feat, much less breaking 500 in one.
