As the title says, how to make this mech work without switching modules? it comes with 2 guass rifles, but they are pretty low slung which makes snipping a pain, I'v tried running with 2 c-u-ac20s, but can't seem to carry enough ammo to make it worthwhile, not to mention that the arms keep getting blown off. With only 2 ballistic mounts there is not a whole lot of options.

I accidentally got one with my TBR-D purchase (was buggy day one). I sold it. Having mastered the other three, it's pointless.

Looking at it now...ugh. Man, I don't know. A CUAC-10 and a CUAC-5? Two 10s? Low slung arms with giant STs that pop off...it's not a good design for MWO at all.

I run a guass in my MDD-A and have had success with it. You just need to make sure you adapt your play style to it and pick your spots to engage. Remember, the MDD is a SUPPORT mech, make sure you hang back with the assults and then pick apart targets of opportunity.

From my experience with Jagers (which are built sort of similarly, though with high mounted arms)... I'd suggest leaving them Gauss and simply standing far enough away (And up high) that you can cover most of the map with limited return fire form the enemy. It's what I do that now with my Stormcrow Prime at times, though I don't have the range that the Gauss offers the Mad Dog.

i found using Dual LBX5 with either LRMs or SRMs to be a good mix. I think the LBX5 is a pretty decent weapon. good rof, the spread isn't huge.

I've been running LBX5s and SRM4s.

Wish there was good enough tonage to run a barrage of SSRMs but...not really enough. can do 6xSSRM2 with plenty of ammo but I don't think that is very good.

I couldn't find anything else that actually worked well other than that or dual gauss.

you have shed armor as well if you want more ammo or stuff.

Problem is anything the dual C arms can do, dual energy arms can do better.
