I may be wrong, but this level of control (and wording) reeks of the reign of a previous CM. Now that there's a new watch, can polls be reinstated to all forums?
People often do create flawed polls that yield horrible data, but they're fun, and that's all that should matter. I'd imagine they're also pretty useful if you're able to think critically about them and weed out the nonsense.
