So two waves of clan quirks have come to pass and I don't think they are effecting the underperforming clan mechs enough to help balance them. We still need to be able to upgrade them to Endo Steel and we still need to be able to remove Jump Jets. Hope PGI realizes this and implements it soon.

Compared to what TT? MWO has gone off the rails if you want to compare this game to TT and Lore.

I'd settle for the locked jumpjets on specific omnipods (namely S-variants that added them) being unlocked. As the whole reason they were locked no longer applies.

Make Endo, Fero, and double heatsinks the same slot size as their IS counterparts and you have a deal.

That would break literally every stock Clan mech.

it is how the rules work in this universe. Lightsabers can only be used by Jedi and Sith. I want my Smuggler to use one But I can't, cause thats teh rules.

Well shucks. Guess you're stuck with what you get then.

Clan mechs are already using double heatsinks, endo-steel and ferro-fibrous armor by default and they take up fewer slots than IS mechs' versions do, and they don't have to pay extra for the upgrades.

'it's in the rules' is what you always say. Things change in this game bro, there are no rules, just how things are currently set up.

Out of curiosity, what was the reasoning for locked jjs?

Animation oddities and general jumpjet performance. People would grab one S component that granted a single jumpjet (Or in the case of the Timberwolf, use the base S model for its center torso), and use a single jumpjet for the added maneuvering, poptarting, etc.

With jumpjets nerfed into the ground and the animations on the worst offenders fixed, there really isnt a point to keep them locked. It also prevents me from running big ballistics on my Kit Fox' shoulders, which makes me sad.

Yes, Cause if we keep changing the rules we will no longer be playing a MechWarrior game. MechWarrior is a part of the BattleTech Universe. as such it needs to confirm to the Universe it is from. Things change according the the GMs choice not the players. ;)

Making a Mech be more mobile... permanently.

Basically too much tonnage/crits could be freed up but you could still keep the awesome hardpoints on the omni pods. This reason still does apply, OP and the guy you quoted are just whiners.

As far as JJs go they really just need to have a pod available that doesn't have them. No need to unlock them.

For instance, the Myst Lynx torsos are all identical, if the option was available to have one with no JJs or only 1 or 2 that could give it that little extra edge it needs.

As for the Endo, Fero stuff, I wouldn't mind if they switched the Fero to endo on underperforming mechs, or just adding endo if they don't. No need for us to change it.

BLAHHH sooo many unfounded opinions.

You really think a TW with one JJ can even attempt to jump snipe WOW

I would think a mech would have to keep atleast a certain min / max like 6 max 2 min or 4 max 1 min. 2 max 0 min and this should go for BOTH IS and clans.

Yes. Got a problem with that? Not like TT is balanced. Especially not when you take it into a FPS/Sim environment.
