So, now that the Prove your Allegiance event is past, has the CW population declined back to its ghost-town levels like it was beforehand?

Or... did some of them that were drawn to this by the event actually stayed??

From what I can see during the oceanic period it is the same or even a little worse.

For a long time there were no players at all last night with the height of activity being a clan 12 v 18-20 IS defenders.

Give it a week.

A lot of guys refraining from CW usually are probably recuperating from playing 30 minute long games for almost a week.

But in all honesty I expect it to fall back to pre-event levels. Sadly.

To me it looked slightly better. We'll know better this weekend as the event also took place during one.

Really still seems like a ghost town, as a Fed, maybe only 4 planets to choose from at a time, and pretty much all four of those planets have full groups on them already. 12 attacking 12 defending, meaning I'm sure as hell not getting in on that anytime soon.

TBH it's not surprising at all, if I were a new player, I wouldn't even know CW is a game mode without reading the forums. How are they supposed to know there's a whole other side of gameplay hidden within one tab on the main menu.

I enjoyed the event. I hadn't touched Clan Warfare since early January before the event happened. The gam mode has gotten a lot of improvements since then. Mostly, it's just burn-out from playing a bunch of matches in one weekend that has kept me from playing this last week. I'll likely be back at it soon.

I want to play CW but during Oceania times it is absolutely dead and I refuse to hang around in CW mode hoping to get a game in.

Maybe PGI should drastically increase CW rewards and payouts to attract more players - even if it means that PUGs and new players may need to resort to trial mechs in the worst instance.

How about double rewards for the first win of the day?

Random boxes usually do the trick without too much bloat in rewards. Most games utilize that. Just make an RNG Salvage box that has a chance to give something really nice at a low percentage. Add a mission where you'll get rewarded this box 3 times a day.

Make planets give bonuses if conquered by your faction. Bonuses will apply if you fight at least (x) matches a week.

There are many things they can do to improve participation aside from streamlining the system. Then again I guess we're waiting for the 21st to see how that turns out.

CW pop is not looking good at all at this time of night Aus time (as I post this).
I wish CW had better perks to drive players more to this and then it would also allow some sort of Elo balancing on teams, so PUGS didn't get destroyed most games - which would also help.

How about you get a bigger payout Cbills/XP if you're solo or for any group less than (I don't know, say) 6 in CW.

They should have rewards in terms of exclusive camouflages, badges and other stuff, instead of packing them in the mech packs. Its like rewarding people for opening their wallets instead of playing harder. The last event is about prizes for two mechs that I already own. What about for example, mechs with a special faction skin?

I completely agree. Custom faction skins, custom geometry faction mechs, faction colors and many other things. The conflict is with "We have (x) artists/modelers. They can either make stuff we can sell or make stuff we give for free in the CW system/events". Most companies will pick option 1.

In my old company we were handling an online FPS game. We usually got a batch of items from the developer every month or two. We'd always set aside a few things for prizes and giveaways to make them more special instead of putting everything on the store.

Why do people keep thinking that a few Cbill rewards is going to make a difference ? you know alot of us are as some call it space rich and dont play for rewards, we want interesting game play and other things you guys dont seem to understand if you think extra coin is going to bring us in...

Why do the space rich think they are actually relevant to the majority of the player base?

Nobody knows. It will remain a mystery. Forever.

Yeah, space rich demographic reduces daily as new recruits to MWO drop in, therefore they are important and should be rewarded..
