i seriously love the Misery.

It has been my fave mech (from a gameplay/visual standpoint) since its release.

But alas, my true love, the Warhawk, just feels so damn clunky to use. I am constantly landscaping with lasers, and the hitboxes just feel bad.

I will hold out hope the the "Whak" becomes less "dire wolf-y" in the future, though it seems very unlikely...

Are there any mechs in the timeline horizon that can give dem stalker-like feels?

Crow torso energy hardpoints are pretty tall, for a medium.

Wave III should get a few; three will have nice options, at the very least.

Cheetah

Dem E mounts! Perhaps a tad high compared to the cockpit, but should be a nice ERLL raven substitute (if you don't want a brawler).

ShadowCat

Oh my...Three cockpit mounted hardpoints? Tri ERLL with a Jesus Box?

Or dual LPL, similar effect.

Cauldron Born

While lower than the ShadowCat, still pretty nice mounts. Slightly lower than the cockpit, but much better than other options.

I need that cauldron born in my life...

It's a little light for my tastes, I run with the fattys, but that is nice.

Those arms though,

They are so much better than the ones we currently have, at least in the art.

Wave 3 will bring pain to the IS, hill humping god chassis on the way to clanners.

Few current choices for hill humping for clans as almost all have low slung energy hardpoints and limited choices for torso weapons in general (they all favor arm weapons). Probably the best mech for it right now is the Hellbringer as both the Stormcrow and Timberwolf need to expose themselves quite a bit to return fire.

Other mechs like Nova may also work with jj feathered poptarting. However, one of the torsos that you need is behind a pay wall and it is still wide as a barn.

Right now we only have the HBR. Gauss + 4 ERMLs is nice because the entire payload is mounted high. The arms though are pretty low.

The SCR's two ST hardpoints are pretty damn high and are easy to ridge-hump with. But it's only 2 hardpoints.

We'll need to wait for Wave 3 for some godly clan hill-humpers that could rival the STK.

Its not just about weapon mounts, its also about cockpit position - for example on the SCR you can generally fire at what you can see as the weapons are all around the same height as the cockpit, but the cockpit is about halfway down the mech - so the enemy can see a lot of your mech by the time you can see them to shoot them. Ebon Jag, SCat and Cheater all have nice high up cockpits though so they will rock for hillhumping (though NOTHING beats the Banshee 3M at hill peeking - STK cant quite match it due to 4 high mounted weapons vs 6. Does have a better front profile though)

Summoner torso ballistics are pretty high. You can do gauss+ 4 cerml easily with lots of room for ammo. Sad it's one of the few things the Summoner can claim an advantage on, and once the cauldron born comes out, it will be better because it has the ES+FF combo and no locked jumpjets, giving it enough pod space to be way more flexible. Also, it's energy hardpoints won't be hanging at hip level like the summoner's do, so you can hillhump with your full alpha.

Kitfox dual AC-2 was ok before locked JJ's, but thats about as good as it gets for clanners.

Hellbringer is pretty much it.

Stormcrow has 2 really nice E hardpoints in the LT/RT that are above the cockpit that give you the "if you can see it you can shoot it" feel but the downside is that often you will think you are not exposed when you are because there is a lot of torso above the cockpit.
