CW was great at first. New. Shiny. But now the novelty has worn off and what remains is yet another Arena mode, undistinguished, generic planets, no Merc content, no extra unit options, a mostly buggy algorithm for selecting planets, no Tukayyid, no exciting endgame, just repetition.
I still love to play in my Mechs, but for repetition I can also play Puglandia, where wait times are short and bringing an unleveled Mech with no modules and playing without a team is not immediately punished.

Still hope for an immersive battlefield experience, though. One day... Maybe....

Plus the fact that Public Queue and CW are such totally different animals, "training" in public queue games makes many players a liability in CW. Learned the hard way: Mechs that work in Public Queue don't often work in CW.

why play CW when the game modes and maps are so bad?

It gets harder and harder to choose to play CW.

Get farmed today? How is that fun? How about do some farming? Maybe if your 12yrs old that might be you idea of fun, I want a fight not this boring garbage that happens all the time in CW.

Not that regular matches offer much. They are just stale and getting worse as there is little to gain other then grind out another c-bill.

CW Map reset looming takes the fun out of it. Better to announce the reset and have it be a short time away. Apr 21? Yeesh, expect it to be a ghost town until then.

I'm simply tired of being farmed by 12-mans.

I can get high damage and kills ... but rarely do I win, and most I make fewer CBills and XP than playing in the normal game mades.

It doesn't make any sense for me to play CW under those circumstances

To put it shortly, too many levels of gimmicky turns the current version of Community Warfare into a stale, unchanging B.S. contest.

- Lights too powerful for being lights (greatly aided by speed-induced lagshield)
- Consumable Warrior Online ™
- Godmode Quirks for IS
- CERML/streakboat Meta for Clan
- Many units that don't bat an eye at exploiting as much cheese as possible to make themselves look good

Only the two last maps for CW are good from my perspective on ideal gameplay; Boreal & Sulfurous are getting to be rather cancerous, on the level of River City & Terra Therma in normal qeue.

It just isn't fun to grind away at CW with all of the above taken into account.

I 'unno what you folk are doing, but I play CW because I make more c-bills and xp there, even when losing. Not to mention faction loyalty rewards like free mechbays.

impending map reset makes me not want to play.

Id rather play regular matchmaker,

which, they really should incorporate into CW somehow, it would make the player pool much larger, and more accessible to those who do not want to play 30 minute games.

No. I want my meaningless fun to be just that: meaningless.

The last thing we need is a bunch of tryhards crying because random pug battles are moving map twinkles in the wrong direction

Lets face it. CW just sux. Many units don`t play it anymore. They need actually to bribe players if they want anyone play CW, that alone put some shame.

I've never had any MWO experience besides 1 month after release and several months ago returning currently; in all that time I've been a CW-only FRR player. Activity is very rarely so poor you can't find a match in FRR. Only time it is like that is directly as I return from work- at 7:30AM EST....not exactly prime-time.

Oh, and I almost never see either side drop-camped or light-rushed. Maybe I'm fortunate to be in FRR and the rest of the galaxy is an absolute craphole, eh?

Dare you to take a 12-man all-urbie dropdeck (3 urbies, 1 atlas per player to fit the tonnage) against NVKA

If you make it past one wave without getting anybody spawncamped, I'd consider that a victory in your favor

Just in case I was not clear, I meant that I will be running my Urbies in the solo queue ... up until my Clan Jade Falcon contract expires. Then I *might* switch sides and bring Urbie-reliant drop decks. ;)

By the way, which IS vs. IS conflict is the busiest? My preference is going against those scaly worms.

Well, I stopped playing CW from all the abuse fellow pugs and myself where getting for playing CW, lol. For example, I have been TK'd many times for being the Merc pug that killed them last week in a match when I was working for clan or vice versa, also been TK'd for using a LRM Boat in a CW match! I watched countless TK's for someone using a "Trial" mech in CW's as well. I know a Trial mech sucks compared to a decked out meta mech, but those players are often new and less likely to continue playing after they see how most of the CW comunity attempts to teach others lessons in the game by abusing them. Sure it can be dealt with by reporting them... Instead of filling out a report or two a day for intentionel FF I just gave up on it and so did many others I know about the same time. As a matter a fact I have NO close friends in CW:O that care about CW at all after meeting the premades that play there.Too many haters in the big super die hard MWO clans! And even when someones teamate is totally in the wrong they will often get support from there fellow clansmen.
So the fast fun Video Game part isn't worth it for most us pugs anymore! GL W/CW, I wont go back until PGI gets the children under control.

I don't think so, yes per game CW is more, but the money/timeratio is a lot lower.

Jesus, that sounds like bizzarro-CW to me. What factions were you fighting for where you were actually teamkilled? Out of hundreds of recent CW drops, I've only seen an intentional TK in CW a single time. Someone got mad at me for trying to lead and help new pilots/pugs, saying they were useless anyway. He tried to rip my back apart, but was summarily slaughtered by my team. Pretty funny, and we nearly won the match!

My point of view is very small as a CW-only FRR-only (!!!) player. I'm coming to realize more and more that the problems everyone talks about within the CW community simply DON'T happen in the FRR. At least in my regular time-slot.

I'm really sorry that you had the experience you did. I can understand the mechanics and implementation of CW turning people off. That can (and will) be improved by PGI. But the community itself driving people off is not excusable. I don't give two shits if you're tired of losing because players on your team don't have a clue. Christ's sake, GIVE them a clue. There ain't enough documentation to the game, so you've got to be their encyclopedia and tour-guide all in one! And that shouldn't be an issue, it isn't even difficult. Unless you've got problems being in any state other than incoherent rage.

I'd recommend you attempt to fight for the FRR after the map reset, honestly.
