But more realistically: Assassin (for IS) and Kodiak (for Clan, prolly the only Clan Mech I'd own)

Mauler and/or Cyclops would not be unwelcome, either

Hauptmann would be cool as well, though I hesitate thinking what they might do with IS Omnis

As might be inferred, 3025-3039 is my preferred era, before the Clans launched an ever-spiraling arms race.

Honestly, it might even be balanced.

AC/2 stats, except:
0.5tons, 2crits, AC/20 range, explodes like a gauss, ammo inert

So it'd be almost as hot as a medium laser, with AC/20 range, low alpha, and ammo limited.

There's not really any specific 'Mech I'm dying for - I have old favorites from novels and games like anyone else, but nothing I'd dance naked on the lawn to get. Heh...I'm more interested in new weapons and am especially looking forward to MRMs. A single MRM-40 is a freaking pile of firepower, and even the smaller MRM launchers are still useful. It'd be a big shift in tactics in the game, and a big tech base equalizer for the Spheroids so they stop screaming for even more unilateral Clan nerfs and a nice challenge for Clan pilots to deal with.

MRMs - making singleton missile hardpoints relevent again.

P.S.: I know I said I wouldn't dance naked for any new 'Mechs, but if Piranha wants to sell me Bushwackers, I'd buy them...o_o...

Thanatos and Hauptmann for me.

If based on MW4 specs:

Thanatos is IS heavy with ECM, JJ and 360 torso twist

Hauptmann can mount 3 x AC20. I also dig that cigar chomping head

Having said that, both have blocky barn door profiles.

Edit: Maybe a MadCat Mk II as well but the river of QQ would be long indeed
