Howdy......

One of the little side projects I got going on, is to try to reimagine a lot of the ....err bad...designs of the Battletech universe. Nothing exemplifies bad art like the 3055 and 3058 TROs. So, as I come up with different rough concepts, I figure I will paste em here.

first:

The Fireball. IDK why I like the death egg, but I do

the Hollander (though Shortpainter has abetter one IMO)
Posted Image
the Tarantula

and a few I am tinkering with currently:

Can you guess it?

Or this one?

a newer take

and the latest

or:

Or the Metabreaker to break all metas

a gauss in each arm, 6 energy points and Jump jets, ECM and BAP on an 85 ton chassis.

Crazy stuff.

First is a 100-ton Bane (Clan).
Second one has me stumped. A 75-ton Penetrator maybe?
Third is a 30-ton Jackal.
Fourth is a 35-ton Venom.
Fifth is an 85-ton Gunslinger.

yeah, went a little extreme on the penetrator, but dear god it has some of the worst legs in the game. Actually based it off of CarrionCrows Marauder design.

I wouldn't mind seeing all of those (except the Tarantula -- four legs is two too many) in-game.

I already have a Venom SDR-9Ka build on a SDR-5D chassis. Works quite well. I've also seen quite a few Jenners with 4x MPLas lately.

I loves me some energy/missile 'Mechs, so I agree with you!

Four missile hardpoints, one or two energy hardpoints, plus jump jets? *drool*

Sweet :)
Nice take on the Penetrator ;) - (o I hate this name so much - German Translation - Lichtbringer - ahhh much better)

The Venom - or the bad big brother of the Spider - that would be a fun Mech in MWO - not like the Hollander - great cheap Mech in TT but in MWO its only reason is to become a frag.

I really like the Gun-Slinger (in this case English name is better.....Song of turtle; And the cry of the bear....)

- the "original" as well as the repainted official versions were a pain...this one looks sleaker and stronger in the same moment.

I like the old Penatrator legs. Don't ask me why I just do.

I do like the Bane though. It is the one 'Mech that always says, "Needs more daka."

that's quite the collection. If only we could see them all in MWO.

At the first look, I thought the penetrator would be a slim warhammer, but then I noticed the posts ;)
The torso looks too bulky or the legs too small tho.

Don't worry first wolfhound was made in 3028, although they list production as being 3052. But now with our time travel flux capacitor they can be release in 3049 and called proto- types.

I would welcome a WolfHound...... if we had sized hardpoints to make it worth anything. As it is, anything the poor Wolfy can do, the Firestarter or Jenner can both do better, since both are the same weight, can carry the same armor, go as fast or faster and jump to boot. ;)

You and me both! I like the look of the bird legged mechs. I'm eagerly awaiting the Penetrater!

sense the penetrater is the mech of my favorite character in the BT books I would definitely get them. it doesn't hurt that they are rather nasty in a scrap for their tonnage. I liked the original legs on the mech as well. odd looking but cool.

Really like the take on the Penetrator (and I agree with Karl, Lichtbringer is a better name)

Gunslinger looks great, always consider it the Highlanders younger brother.

Any thoughts on the Gallowglas?
