Regarding the upcoming Wave 3 Clan mechs, i think Alex has done a good job again.

However, there is one minor issue, where i think he slightly missed the point: the Cockpit of the Shadowcat.

To me it looks a bit too .. friendly in contrast to the original TableTop Art (hence the title of this post).

So i took the liberty and changed it a bit, and... well... see for yourself:
(bear in mind i lack skill and Photoshop; this was done with MS Paint)

I would not mind if the looks of the cockpit could be altered slightly to resemble the looks of the TableTop-Shadowcat a bit more.
(However, i do not mind the lack of chin and the altered Leg-assembly.)

The other big "offender", the Cockpit of the Hanyku: after carefully looking at both the TT-Art and Alex design, i have to admit i like Alex design more.
Please don't kill me. Thanks.

So: what do you think ?
And, most importantly: what does Alex himself think ?
I hope it's not "ban that guy". O_O

I think that its the finer details such as this, that should not be overlooked.

Especially the cockpit or "face" areas of the mech should be as close to the original artwork as possible, good example being the Enforcer's head and how it turned out, or the Executioner's nose.

Its all the little things that are important.

I'm more concerned about the legs not being scissor'd, really. The cockpit doesn't bother me that much.

I don't think anyone is going to kill you for criticizing their interpretation of the original art. I criticized the crap out of their Timberwolf, and I'm still breathing. That said, I think they did a pretty decent job with the Shadowcat.

Agreed. Give the shadowkitten some angry eyebrows.

Yea they really got the basic idea but the little things are being neglected which make these chassis stand out.

Yes.
But as i was to stupid to find the old thread and also the picture above as a new approach, i decided to simply create a new thread.

Don't worry though, it will be gone from page 1 in a few hours, never to be seen again. ;)
