Who are the clans

I don't, but i think that it would be an easy way to toss them into a situation that they generally try to make for themselves anyways. Read the forums. Most people think of the goons and the clans in about the same light. And the goons really don't care. As one of them has even said they have given us a great evil to fight against. Why not use that deep seated hatred to the games advantage and make them the clans or at least give them the option of switching over in mass i think they would take. Now please don't turn this into a flame war but i think a little discussion on the matter will end up being a neat thing to read.

@CavemanSmash, I doubt you know the mind of the average Hardcore BT fan (for I am one and could care less about what the Goons are or do.). Regardless, if "Hardcore BT guys" do not like the Goons, as you suggest, it is because any BT based game does not really fit the playing environment necessary for Goons to thrive - otherwise we would have seen them in all the other iterations of MW in ladder or planetary leagues. We did not. EVE, where they abound, has a limited back story that was extremely young, infantile almost - nothing on the scale of BT. That can be said of ANY game the Goons play.
And for any of you that do not like the Clans, the Exodus events in the fiction should have told you that the SDLF would be back, and not in a good way as far as the IS is concerned. The fiction and story background foresaw the Clans and those who do not think the Clans should never have entered "the game" at all really know nothing about the BT milieu -- the only thing you got from the Clans' entry was that you did not like getting beat.

And to the poster above me I imagine it was just a typo but it's the SLDF (Star League Defense Force)

Our TT group even went and made up our own home brew original clans and played them so long that I forgot they weren't canon. We worked on those things for years! XD

Goons would rather get tortured in hell than to be just another, normal group of people. Attentionwores if you prefer the term.

But, OP, to address your concern about the group you mentioned, it is likely they will all form their own group anyways within the game anyways, isn't it? Regardless of what they call their organization ("clan", "merc corps", etc). Or am I misunderstanding this group's tactics? Do they keep their affiliation a secret and try to infect all other guilds/clans/groups, or, do they flaunt their affiliation and typically form their (infamous) group in each game?

I was attempting to be nice about it, however your lack of tact still is right. They are above goons though.,
