Disagree.
1: A verbal apology is not an action, any more than saying you wish someone would die counts as killing them. All his apology is for is to make HIM feel better, not anyone else. Its self serving and transparent.
2: No, as it matters not what level he feels the need to apologize for is, I stated "if you feel the need to apologize for it" which means it is based PURELY on what HE thinks is bad enough to apologize for. Please read the ACTUAL words I wrote BEFORE replying. thanks.
Furthermore, HE HIMSELF states he was made VERBALLY ABUSIVE to other players over a VIDEO GAME. Thats not my subjectivness. That is a solid fact presented by himself, and if a GAME makes you ABUSIVE, you have ANGER ISSUES. That is a FACT.

Nah.

The irony of you using capital letters to represent yelling though is fantastic.

Lots of people yell at video games. Games are a great stress relief. Sometimes, the anonymity of the internet makes it easier to vent your frustrations upon your fellow player. It's cathartic, and i'd say that a little trash talk is perfectly innocuous. However, there's every chance that a person being abusive in a video game wouldn't react that way face to face.

It's possible to go too far though - personal attacks and angry rants can be just as damaging to someone over the internet as they would be face to face. Just look at League of Legends.

The fact that someone can identify this behavior themselves though (or get called out for it) and apologize is indicative of remorse, not of a need to enroll with a shrink.

You've never broken something by accident? How does that make you an *******? Makes you clumsy but not an *******. Lack of contrition is what makes you the *******. It shows you don't care that you did something wrong. Only perfect people do nothing wrong and, well, let's face it there's no perfect people in the world.

False analogy. He is not being verbally abusive accidentally.
Please understand the words you use before you post.

I am not yelling. I am emphasizing. Why do you automatically assume I am angry? I have not acted in an agry fashion. This i simply an Ad Hominem attack against me, as you are unable to refute my points.

Also, you seem to be confusing the issue. If a video game makes you angry enough to be verbally abusive, you have anger issues. Your ability to identify those issues after the fact does not indicate you do not have those issues.

NONE of your points have any bearing on the fact that video games making you verbally abusive means you have issues controlling your anger. If you cannot refrain from being verbally abusive, thats not letting off steam, thats not trash talk. Its abuse.

Please, understand your words before you use them.

Please understand, that's beside the point. You're implying that once someone has made a mistake, then apologizing is pointless.
Either A) You have never said or done something that hurt someone, in which case.... Wow, how can you even see us mortals from that pedestal? And I kinda wish I knew you, since I've never met anyone perfect before.
Or B )You have said or done things that hurt someone, but don't ever feel the need to apologize, since it's pointless to you. In which case, I'm glad I don't know you and I feel sorry for your friends/family

I never said it was pointless. I said the point was to make the offender feel better, not the offended. Please, read the posts before you reply.

Your attacks against my character when I have done nothing but disagree with you marks you as someone with major issues. I wish you the best of luck in dealing with those. Good day.
