Why do you rush generators from the start of the game without even trying to fight? The map is being reset at least once, so no planets you gain are going to last, you get next to no LP, CB or XP even if you do win, and its no fun for either side win or lose.. i see barely any teams gen rushing anymore because of this, but since i swapped from CGB to Steiner a few days ago ive run into CWDG 10-12 mans 3 times, and each time they have rushed gens from the start.

This is not a complaint, because its a legit tactic and you're breaking no rules, im not even saying its unstoppable or anything like that.. just don't understand why, because all i can see is wasting your own time..

Just don't get it.. enlighten me please?

Personal enjoyment.
Why do you play a video game? Are you playing for enjoyment, or to collect faux digital currencies?

And i find it fun when a team brings assualt mechs runs 500 meters outside of their base, loses when faster mechs penetrate their lines and wipe out the objectives, refuses to adapt after three straight matches, and then comes to the forums to QQ.

What do you expect from them? Epic tactics or epic efforts ? They're capped to basic lvl.

Give or take at 500 days of CW they raise their game a bit.

erm, we won 2 of those matches.. you did get us the first time though, ill give you that.

As i said, not complaining or saying its unstoppable, just confused as to why youd bother. never mind though, im not going to get it.

It does seem kinda silly...

Light rushes are for when you need a lot of successes quickly.. with map reset, we need neither successes, nor haste.

I'm currently not doing CW (kinda pointless at the moment) but when I did a little while ago- we only ever did a SC rush if we were losing the attrition fight for whatever reason, running out of time, and wanted the win in the end. (Not many like to lose.)

But I guess a Dubya is a Dubya?

(Keep in mind, people can recognize when you're trying to statpad your W/L...)

This is the IS primary tactic when attacking, 2 to 3 light rushes only focused on generators not fighting back. Steiner does it too why don't you ask them.

Some of our drop commanders go for attrition.

Some go for generators.

Sun Tsu said never fight the enemy on his terms.

I'm not here for the C-Bills.

Yeah its cheesy as all hell. Not to mention boring. "Yay lets light rush em guys" match over in round 2...without even engaging the enemy. I dont know about u but how is that fun?

Here at SWOL prefer to give the enemy a good fight, getting the respect and also giving respect to those who dont light rush.

Oh we've done it plenty of times and found out it sucked the life out of CW. Better to fight it out and give the enemy a good match.

I think gen rushes are a valid tactic, why do what your enemy expects? Sometimes my groups will farm it out, and other times, we will gen rush. Makes your opponents have to guess at what you are going to do, keep them off balance. If they see CWDG, CWI, SWOL non-stop gen rush, opponents will start to prepare for it, or if all we do is go through the gate, form firing lines and proceed to win by kill count, they will prepare for that too.
