Does the Death Star achievement have to come from non-CW or can it come from CW? CW has 48 total mechs so a person has a much better chance at hitting the 12-kill mark as opposed to a "normal" drop where they have to take the killshot on the entire enemy team.

Here's my most recent almost, Dire was still yellow armor with only 2 mechs left a cherry ct catapult and a swayback I could taste it. Denied Nova got the catapult cleanup , swayback got the nova and as I got the hunchie to cored he killed himself with an overheat.

You can't get it in CW... or I'd have gotten it!

It's not a particularly hard thing to do in CW, but no, you can't get it from CW.



I saw someone (Proton, I think?) get a 12 kill game once. Never seen any other legitimate Death Stars.

A month or so ago, PGI's servers were fritzing out badly. During that weekend, there were quite a few reported cases where 23 out of 24 players would get disconnected; the 24th would kill the 12 enemies, get his/her Death Star, and win the match.

i heard those bug abusing titles were removed... i saw a death star player on the enemy team recently, he was focused and died, i like to think it was a legitimate death star player

I don't think they were, but I also don't have any proof to back that up, can't find any official word from the devs one way or another. What I have heard from other players is that it was not removed, but that's not official.

Two people in Antares Scorpions have legitimately been awarded it, Drunkninja and CinRa - hearing them on ts at the same time they were in the drop was amusing too. CinRa's voice got progressively higher pitched as he went from 8 to 9 on till 12 xD I believe he was in a GRF-3M
the 12 kill was pretty much him screaming down the mic iirc

Theres a lot of **** players who have it still - any decent self respecting players dont display the bug abused award. It's a shame because people who actually earn it, most ppl think they didnt

This happend with Ace of Spades also, so many people have the 8 kills now that frankly couldn't shoot their foot off if they aimed at it, I think this is unfair on the people that got both rewards legit, its completely devalued it, for those that got it the hard way and those that will in future months.

I wish that PGI would reset it from the server crash days

To be fair, you can get Ace of Spades just by being lucky. I'm not particularly good, but I did it (twice!) in a MDD-B that didn't have its basic efficiencies done. Sometimes things just go right for you, and in addition to having a good game for a change, all the people you shoot don't know how to torso twist or something like that.

This is true. You get the kill if you're lucky.

I when I got my Ace of Spades title I walked behind the enemy team in a BH and kept on shooting people in the back. They we're all too busy focusing on my team in front of them to turn around.

All these titles are less about the player and more about luck.

I wore my Ace of Spades proudly because I figured not too many would have it. But I see more Deathstar's than Ace of Spades. So I decided on The 1 Percent instead since it's much more rare.

Either way, the OP's post was pretty damned funny.
