well as i started earlier a topic about the unitcolors i had another idea: give us at least 2 or 3 more standard variants of how to paint a mech, one unicolor, maybe one camouflage pattern and one factionbased- depending on the faction you are figthing for- for FREE!
It would give at least a lil bit more variants in the game!!

Or you could have it set up so that, there can be a faction cost for said color and camo, and everyone can chip in that in the faction, donate to the faction, and the MC can only be used for faction related items, like faction camo which gives everyone in the faction use of those colors for as long as that player is in the faction.

why not for free Egomane? We are not talking about giving cool looking things like the flame design but patterns which would fit more to the setting than these fabrique new skins...

Because those colors represent something. They need to be earned.
For free always sounds good from the players point of view, but for a free to play game it is a bad thing. You either pay for it, or earn it by playing, which makes yourself content for other players.

well with clan/unit/army colors i do agree - maybe for 100 matches or so- but with camo? every foodsoldier gets better camooutfits than the mechs 
- ok you could say : hey 14m tall ... not easy to camoflage them but its just the idea of steering military equipment and not some testing machines
