The question is: When?
The features promised in CW were made 2+ years ago. Are we talking May or June for these changes? Certainly not another year of Light Rush and DZ Camping.

From what I heard, these are Russ' possible solutions:
Spawn Camping: dropships hover permanently over drop zones and focus fire on 1 enemy 'mech at a time.
Gen Rushing: doubling the gen hit points.

Gen Rushing: doubling the gen hit points.
#1 is a good idea if the dropships can be shot down.
#2...I dunno, "shoot the genny" isn't a real awesome idea to start with.

You can still play CW while you are waiting for the contract to break - you'll just be stuck with your current faction until the time is up.
Mercs will time it out to get 2 factions earned pretty well during the event by ending the countdown sometime in the middle then grinding a second out through the end of the event. Really only a minor change still with very little downside.

It was the single most important battle of the Clan invasion, which decided the fate of Terra..
Finally confronting the Clans to prevent them from reaching and taking over Terra, ComStar's Precentor issued a Batchall to the Ilkhan, to fight a.Clan Trial of Possession over on a proxy world. If the Clans won, Terra would be theirs. If Comstar won, a fifteen year truce would be won... enough time to bolster the Inner Sphere's defences and ensure the Clans would never succeed in their objective of taking Terra.
Twenty-five Galaxies from seven Clans faced off against twelve entire Armies of the Com Guards (equivalent to 144 regiments), each Clan being assigned two objective cities to take.

It's too bad that mwo 's version will be nothing like the lore version , instead we will be destroying gens rather the capturing cities. It would be cool if clans can unlock the Tukayyid event by reaching Tukayyid and then when you fight on Tukayyid you have totally different objectives from what the previous planets ,it could be like only certain planets will have special missions and objectives. Why not recreate Tukayyid exactly as it was in lore and have steel vipers fight in the swamp for example, a clan and IS faction will fight over a different map

I wonder how they'll handle the 4v4 mode.
While I can see why they don't do it for 12v12 CW, it might be possible to split the queue for 4v4 such that you could either queue as a 4person premade or as a solo player (and be put with 3 other solo queuers), and you'd be matched with another group formed the same way. For 4v4, unless it's horribly unpopular, there should be enough latitude that splitting the queues should work -- and they could probably implement some kind of queuesize failsafe where, if there were sufficiently few people in the queue for 4v4, it would scrap the separate queues and match premades and pugs until the queue picked up again.

It's only an IS tactic in which they don't even care that they are ignoring mechs just to destroy the gen. Very lame in my opinion.
Yes, because both sides don't deploy this tactic (regardless of frequency or who started it first) <insert sarcasm here>
Back to the topic: Tukayyid event sounds like it's going to be the mech pajami-jamy-jam!

The bad is: the "MWO" Battle of Tukayyid starts 1 week before 1stMay
Really no problem to run it in November or even March - but really 1 week before 1st May - thats is not even funny - its a typical PGI moment

Who cares. If you cared about the year then it's still not the right date,

Spawn camping has never been an issue. Those who opt to PUG in CW get camped. Period.
It is not PGI problem it is the players.
Good luck.
