Then don't even touch the question. But to take someones question, then alter it to the point of being a softball? Pretty disingenuous. A touch politician, even. What they might as well do is simply have Russ decide what has already been decided, what he wants to reveal, and then tell us peasants what we are getting, if they are going to go that route. It'd be more honest, at least.
Did he say maybe? I haven't listened to the podcast. If he said yes, people would be mad if he said no people would be mad. Me if I was in Russ's shoes, I'd piss off who I piss off. I'd likely kill the game I was trying to make doing it. But then again if I didn't, I wouldn't be making a game I love.

sounds good, when can we do it? may patches?

I'd be fine with this honestly. But the IS mechs should have to take a C3 computer, command or slave unit, and if the command mech is destroyed all slaved mechs lose their target sharing ability. That would be really interesting I think.

If jump jets were actually any good, you wouldn't want to remove the jets anyway. Think about it ;)

Any Choice is always the good choice as long as "you" are able to make that choice :P

I disagree. If more choices was always better for the game, then we may as well remove all hardpoint restrictions and engine caps and let all mechs have Ecm. The game would have to ble completely redesigned to work with complete freedom. More choices isn't always better

Who says Russ is making a game he loves? Pretty sure he wasn't even a Battletech/Mechwarrior fan before this game.

Even with bad ones I don't want them removed. Not really the point of the OP, though.

no clue if it would work, but sounds fun.

Also pretty much nerf their rewards into the ground on any kill that is not Solo kill or "kill most damage". Wanna Play in Clan Mechs that are superior, boys? LEarn how to play like a real Clanner then.

Aff, sure. Fight a few battles, agree with the other commanders that the Spheroids are not going to fight honorably, and declare they are not worthy of a batchall or Zellbrigen, proceeding to stomp them like any bandit group ;)

Go for it, and when every match ends with you making like 10k cbills total, QQ on the forums about it in gooder clanner fashion.......

Looks like PGI needs to start doing their own Town Halls if we can't trust NGNG not to edit questions behind the scenes like this I don't want them running the Town Halls that is just dirty.

Err, NGNG are paid by PGI's to promote MWO. I'd bet PGI vets/edits the questions, not the other way round.

The Alt F has ECM in the RT and the Alt G has an energy hardpoint in each leg (MWO moves these up to the side torsos). Unfortunately, that left leg hardpoint moved to the left torso isn't usable due to no open slots. Alt Z has a Nova CEWS and Modular armor in the RT, which is kinda strange.

Side torso guns would help immensely, but then that would make me sad inside that it would pretty much mandatory to use that pod just like the Loki's Prime LT and laser head. I want the arm mounts to have at least some degree of worth. :\

Well... if you bought into my idea into "moveable locked internals", you would be able to move around JJs, the BAP and DHS however you'd like, as long as they are still on the mech in the end. Endo+FF crits can't be moved, but at least you wouldn't have the Warhawk's Left Torso being useless (if you wanted to store ammo on that side, you could) and the idea of propping a leg weapon to the Left Torso on the Mist Lynx would be doable.

However, this is Lostech, and will stay as such.

You haven't looked at many of the FASA created stock TT Mechs if you think that...just saying...

It's basically a tradeoff in TT. The ''boats'' shine at their one job, but suck at others - and considering the variety of 'mechs around in TT as compared to MWO, this can be a real issue. Both boats and allround mechs have their place in the tabletop game.

The really stupid stuff only rolled around after fedcom - after FASA went bust.

And yes, I like to think I'm familiar enough with the TT stock mechs, given the fact I have all the TROs, and have read them (though in pdf format - shipping costs are insane)

What Unlocking Endo would Change?

Andi Nagasia said:

Mechs with Endo that will not Change,
Lights(MLX)(KFX)(ADR), Mediums(IFR)(SCR), Heavies(TBR),
so to recap the SCR/TBR will not be buffed by this change!

Mechs without Endo that will Change and gain more Tonnage(+Number=ExtraTons)
Mediums(NVA+2.5), Heavies(MDD+3)(HBR+3)(SMN+3.5), Assualts(GAR+4)(WHK+4)(DWF+5)
so to recap the DWF gets the most Benefit from this, but it already has more Tons than it can use!

Im with you. (at the very least damage indication should require C3) Would need to be tested and everything but it would certainly add some tactical depth that we are really lacking

Nova, Supernova, just off the top of my head, pre-FedCom civil war, both rather excellent in TT and both extreme boats. There are more, both Clan and IS, that really have no downsides to their boating, and all pre-FedCom civil war. FASA was great at min/maxing, it was already a staple in TT games for many years before BTech was created. Over 2400 Mechs and their variants, there's quite a few boats that don't suffer for their loadouts.

And like you, I don't consider anything after the Clan introduction as being worth my time :)

No questions where 'edited', I'm sorry your question didn't make it, but the reality is there was 15+ pages of questions only x amount of time.

so can we put cERml on the underperforming IS mechs. Point is not to debate what is underperforming versus quirks, but the options you are asking for are IS tech.If PGI decides that removing/adding ferro and or endo to the whole mech would make it balanced, I am fine with that.

Bad clan mechs are usually related to the whole chassis line, with good lines having 2-4 good builds. Most IS mechs have 1-2 bad chassis variants within a line that need to be bought to get the most out of the one good variant (this is a thumbnail est, feel free to point out the "technically speaking" exceptions). I would rather do some research and just buy the try hard clan mechs that give me multiple good to great builds on all of the variants of that line and not have to worry about missing out on the others.
