Well if the Cyclops isn't the assault its unlikely I'd buy it.
Rather have the Hammerhands for a heavy.
If they run with the cyclops and the Assasin or Vulcan, for mediums i'd consider buying it
if they go with Javlin, and my choices of Assault and Medium, could careless about the Heavy, I would probably buy it, even if they haven't got a heor thud/wolverine in the pipeline

Black Knight is all energy hardpoints on all variants. HammerHands would be more interesting and all available in 3050. I thought it would be either the Grasshopper or the Black Knight since they are both Energy-only heavies. The BK carries more and has better armor I suppose, usually a monster CT though.

Oh, the pack is amazing, but I don't want to get both packs in order to be able to get the Mauler. I wanted to be able to grab that and the Black Knight ala carte. If I still can, that's great. But I'm gonna be upset if it's another Vulture situation.

That's in no way confirmed. But I think Black Knight and Cyclops are very probable, due to the polls and PGI having confirmed that artwork is done. If we assume that they will stick to the 1 of each weight class formula, the Javelin is also very probable, because it's the last one remaining light mech of the TRO 3025 without any licensing issue taint on it. For the medium mech, there are some other probable choices besides the Assassin, but I think this one has good hardpoints for a 40 ton mech and also quite distinct looks, unlike e.g. Clint or Hermes II, which is why I think it's the most probable option.
And that leaves us with the Mauler, which also has artwork done. Since it's much wanted by the community, it would make sense to (ab)use it as the dangling carrot to inspire lots of top tier package sales (also because the Cyclops is pretty meh, I doubt many would buy Res I + II to get the Cyclops).

Hmmm, for the 25 tons set, both can be sexy. The Mongolia has a lot of variants available, and the sling, while it needs a -p, has both a laser and missile ready builds, and (hover)jets. maybe a mg slugger for the -p to complete the whole specialist boating style of that mech.

I think your logic is very strong, I just hope to God it's not the case. Because I'd refuse to pay that much and I'd be really upset that they'd be forcing me into that. So, instead of getting some of my money they'd be getting none of it. Sad, but true.

I'd be perfectly happy if they did an Urban mech-esque single pack for it. That'd be great, but it's very doubtful that will be the case.
