Hey guys looking to get back into the game after being out for like a year-ish. Last thing I remember was when new UI came out. Anything interesting besides new mechs ? like mech specific ability's? extreme balance changes and whatnot? Does the awesome still suck?. Thanks in advance.

It's better to just download and play for yourself, because even if new things have been introduced , you playing them will determine if its good or bad or fun or boring.

* SRMs have been fixed and brawling is viable again; jump jets and PPC heat have been normalized, fixing poptarting
* Chassis are now being modified by a dynamic quirk system
* Private matches are available
* In-game units exist
* Community Warfare beta is in full swing, with 5 available maps
* VOIP and in-game lobbies ("Looking for Group" tool) are here
* Achievement system, DX11 functionality, TrackIR functionality, match rejoin feature
* Role rewards system for performing certain actions in-game
* Performance improvements in the last couple of months
* On the horizon: public test of a new mechlab later this month(?), 4v4 scouting missions coming to CW, new tutorials being worked on, Solaris and single-player/co-op missions in the far future
Still not a lot of new gamemode concepts (other than Attack and Defend, which serves as the platform for CW), balance is better but still a work in progress, and their design process is still glacially slow.

Aside from the Hidden Leaf Village killing most of your clan? Not too much.

Yes, it's under the gear icon on the launcher.

Oh god...
Don't tell me this isn't enabled by default on 64-bit machines.
Please don't tell me I've been running a 32-bit client this whole time without realizing it.
actually please tell me this, that'd be great news. then I'd probably only have FPS issues 5 percent of the time instead of 10! (which is a lot better than most, thank you based god for convincing me to build my own rig)

its not by default... you have to choose to be better. Also frak tons more stable and faster.

@Corbnik. Maybe so but the changes in mwo are usually many small subtle changes that at first glance aren't very noticeable that's why I was looking for a run down of everything.
@Rebas Kradd. This was more of what I was looking for thanks a lot.
@Fate 6. Haha I haven't kept up with the manga in about a year...heard it ended though.
