Hello!

My current build is here:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...1df2264193f2ec2

I like it because it is:
Insanely fast
A high jumper
Quirky/weird

It's doesn't get great damage or win games, but it's fun as all hell to play with. Jumping above a team of mechs to slam SRM's and lasers into them is hillarious and semi-effective.

However, I'm looking into other ideas. Anyone have some good Quickdraw 4G builds? I'm willing to shell out some c-bills for a new engine/equipment if someone has a good idea lying around.

CW build

fast skirmisher

STD-engine brawler

those are my 3 go-to builds when running the 4G.

4G is the best brawler QKD IMO due to the superior torso twist, even tho it cant compete on even terms with ballistic + srm brawlers due to energy heat, its still pretty viable, and tanky if you use an STD-engine.

Fascinating! I didn't know people brought Quickdraw's to CW drops. I myself had been pondering whether my GHR-4H (XL330, 2 LPL, 1 LL, 4 ML, 4 JJ) would be CW-able, but this offers a bit more flexibility in terms of tonnage. And I happen to have a 4G sitting around, though it is not elited as I do not have two of the other QKD chassis.

Where do you put that 4 LL build in the drop deck? I'm going to take a guess that it might be the second?how does it fare as far as vs clanners and vs other IS?

5K is better in the CW,i use 2 x 2LPL 4ML 5K:s and 1 4LL 4G in almost all of my drop decks.4G is generally good in Boreal and Hellebore with that setup,in those maps i tend to drop first in the 4G,do 800-1000 damage and take a Dragon after that to finish up any crippled mechs that were left behind and keep the laservomit QKD:s as a reserve if my team suddenly stackpoles hard.
When you fire the LL:s at groups of 3 + 1 (right side + left arm) the heat is very manageable and with range and cooldown modules it can lay down some hurt pretty fast.

Hey Cookiemonter,

Seen a few of your posts regarding Quickdraw in relation to CW. I go ok (usually mid 1000s) in CW but my heavy hitters tend to be built for sustained fire rather than alpha strikes and thus I have come to realise that alpha striking is the way of doing things...

Will have to try out some of your suggestions as I have a full stable of them gathering dust.

Cheers!
Eboli
