[Bishop Steiner]

So got a ways to go, and yeah, I know it's not the weird waddling barrel of some of the original art, but seriously, we wouldn't build a mech looking that silly and awkward now, seems stupid that a mech built 400 years in the future would look like something from a Lost In Space.


And the finished (i think, at least for now) version

maybe I'll retcon it to be the Mackie II, since forms of the Mackie were produced up until the Amaris Usurpation. ER PPCs, LBX, Pulse lasers, etc. Or maybe it'll be a super secret and have Royals level of tech. Shrugs. Who knows.

Nah, just call it the Mackie. If MWO went by how mechs were/are in TT we would have back facing weapons.

Anyway, my schizo wording/spelling aside. The only real criticisim I can give it is that the Mackie was more of a softer looking mech, then again with the original art work tmost of them were very.......soft looking.

Kind of makes me want a solaris mode for MWO so I could see (hopfully) some more updated (primitive) mechs and for other reasons too.

I am digging your concept Bishop, My only suggestion is to try to keep the Nostalgic Trash can shape it shares with the Urbie and make it less Centurion looking at the waist line?

You could even just add a little skirt around it at that part to make it LOOK like it has that shape but give it an update MWO styling as well.

Just my two cents....and they are worn so like 1.5?

Also, IMO (which again take it or leave it) would be to use ROUND parts or an absence of lines to create that SOFTER feel and look. Maybe more Curvy feet, more traditional boot look to them. Much like the round shoulder and arm joints you have already given him. Maybe try to round up the lower half to keep it retro RV looking!

round made sense in the age of steam, not really in the Nuke age. Unless it's a sub. Also, the Mackie was constantly updated thru til the end of the Star League. I'm sure later models didn't look as silly and rotund.

You should replace the 2 Med. lasers with one large laser or 1 clan ER PP....c
