Hey guys,
I need some honest opinion about mechs and quirks.
As I see it, PGI started trying to balance some under-performing mechs by using quirks.
This, also brought some gaps on performance for a couple of mechs.
And now PGI is fiddling around to try and balance the mechs out using the quirks.
We used to buy mechs mostly for the Hardpoints and possibilities of better performance with speed or some other specific set of characteristics.
All those points were static but with the introduction of quirks, we have one more point to evaluate and it is a dynamic one. This patch brings a few quirks, but the next patch will bring other quirks to other mechs and so on...
So, in light of this my question is:
Does it really make sense to buy mechs anymore?

The trick to "beating" the system is to not buy a mech only because of the quirkage it has.

Unless its a Dragon 1N. That mech has nothing else going for it besides quirkage.

But the force is strong in with this one. xD
@ OP: Don't feel bad, there come times every mech will be T1 with the quirks, since it is a programm to drive people picking meta mechs (sell them).

I totally agree but often times the quirks define if the mech is worth buying for a specific role or not.
Then the quirks get changed and that mech is now more fitted for another role and play-style.
With the constant fiddling of quirks, I can hardly find a reason to buy anything.
Possibly dumb comparison:
When I buy a car I look for a specific set of set assets.
Imagine buying a car with 4wd (for some offroad weekend fun) just to find out the factory did a software update that's automatically downloaded by the car giving it front-wd with a bonus of 5% less fuel consumption.
Seems to me it's basically the same happening in MW:O with he quirks...
