Old ghost bear color had interlaced white to give appearance of cracked ice.
The interlaced white color had caused the original blue used on the ghost bear skin to appear lighter.

Now that they have made the retrofit to be able to customize the color, the old blue no longer has any white cracks to offset it. Therefore it looks darker.

My proposal is that they use a lighter blue for the new "Default" blue color used in ghost bear camo: For example the Hellblau blue that is present in game.

The new shade is actually more consistent with the lore colors (at least according to camo spec, but who knows)

I think it would still have been cool if they preserved the cracked ice effects though
