I've noticed this behavior since last week after I changed from my initial mech to another (A firestarter to a Stormcrow). I took the SCR for a spin at the testing grounds when it happened. I had to logout to fix the problem. I had another incident while piloting the same stormcrow a few days after, nevertheless I used the same workaround. However, right after April 30th hotfix, I cannot play with any mech in any game mode on any map without it happening and that workaround is not longer working.
I've tried uninstalling and installing again, twice. The repair tool didn't show anything relevant, checked my keyboard. I've changed the key mapping, but it won't work. It seems the command to turn left or right is not working.
Title: Mech starts to move on it´s own, can't move left and right.
Description: In-game, the mech starts to move as soon as the game begins and the commands to turn left and right don't work. Everything else is working as intended.
Location: Any mech, any game mode, any map.
Reproduction Rate:100%
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch any game mode on any map;
2. As soon as the mech powers itself up, it will move foward.
3. I can stop it and have control to move it foward or backwards. Turning left or right does not work.
4. Pressing Esc and returning to the game will resume the auto forward behavior. Opening the battle grid or the scoreboard will have the same results.

Unplug any and all controllers, flightsticks, touchpads, pedals, etc. and see if it stops.
MWO really, REALLY, doesn't like unused HIDs other than mouse and keyboard connected to the system.

You were right Ironwithin.
I had a flight stick plugged for a few weeks after I stopped playing Elite: Dangerous.
As soon as I unplug it the controls were working fine. I've decided to plug it back to see if I had control with my flightstick and I had.
I assume you had a similar experience to be so sure of what was causing my problems.
Thank you.

While I do not disagree that this is true, I find it odd that I never have any problems, and I have two USB controllers plugged into my computer that I do not use while playing MWO.
If I better understood exactly what did what and all that stuff (not as tech-savvy as I should be for my age ) maybe I could figure out why I never have any problems with my controllers.
*spins around in his chair* I suppose I should count myself lucky either way! CX
