Idea For Useless Hellbringer Torsos
#1

HBR-A LT-
Add 1 more missile hardpoint.
Add quirks for SRM and S-SRM Range as well as reduced spread
(high range increase, moderate spread decrease)
HBR-B LT-
Add an additional energy Hardpoint.
Hardwire a Targeting Computer without increase tonnage. (basically a quirk that takes up a crit slot)
However this Hardwired TC would have effects like:
- Greatly Increase PPC velocity
- Greatly reduce beam duration
- moderately reduce energy weapon heat generation.

How often do you see that? And on the rare chance you do, how hard is that person ridiculed?
The Magic Jesus Box rules all.

So the quirks have to be something like turning 50% heat, speed, range quirks for Clan ERPPCs or - gattling 2km LRM quirks
look - i was able to place a post about ECM without rant....

sell off the other torsos
I have two heckbringers, both ECM and both break the 1000 damage club every other week.

I disagree. We do not want to make quirks to become more convoluted than it already is. Fix the damn GECM and Clan ACs first.

I think you might get mocked more for using 2 LRM 20's on a Hellbringer (or using LRM's in general) than the lack of ECM, but I digress.

well thankyou for derailing this thread
how AWESOME would that be?? Static electricity has been theorized on dozen planets with sand storms/gas clouds as they hit the star lit side from dark....hell yes.
I love my ecm but I support this idea for a map.dark map that suddenly lights up jumpscare style? oh HELL YES

actually i don't wanna see other torsos used on HBRs. When i see HBRs in the queue of CW i know we have 1 or 3 ecms for example. And than i'm fine with the first wave. I lulz on every HBR not bringing this sidetorso. Sure it reduces the diversity - but who wants diversity in a team asset mech, come on play a ego shooter not a teamgame or bring other mechs to the board, then i switch for the first wave to my Hellby to provide you with ecm.
End to make a point, since those are supposed to be omni mech. All STs should be capable to mount the cm not only one! The diffrent STs are only a workaround to not be true omni, but provide customization in boundary.

This has several advantages:
- other LTs become an option
- the ridiculous situation that almost ALL the HBRs equipment is tied to ONE component ends
- The HBR's LT is not automatically always the primary target because the enemy can't be sure where the ECM is located
I don't see any disadvantages or if there are any, they surely don't weigh heavier than the advantages.

Not TOTALLY derailed...such a map WOULD solve the problem of always taking ecm...for one map

How do we fix ECM? The same way we used to "fix" stuff in college. Light it on fire and throw it out a second-story window

We need electronically-noisy urban maps, preferably looking similar to and as big as Macau or Manhattan Island, skyscrapers and all but badly shot up.

But that makes no sense. You can run your LRM build and still keep the ECM...
