I think you should start your sale the moment it is announced, so that a person can impulse buy more easily. Hype gets generated in moments and dies quickly, the opportunity for a sale gets weaker the more time a person has to question the buy. Seize that moment. The more transactions the better, no matter how piddly, so to start your sale early and run it that one extra day can't hurt.
