A true pugger doesn't need team chat or VOIP. Thousands of battles in almost complete silence have honed his senses. He is one with the pack. He fights on intuition and instinct. He feels the flow of the battle in his veins.

Though to be honest, he does rely a bit on his minimap to see exactly where his teammates are going. Which is often in stark contrast to where the self-designated pug commander is screaming at everyone to go :)

I like to play with a few libations.......but I don't play fully lit up.

I also have times when I'm in game just for fun - dusting off old mechs or trying crazy builds.

As far as comms go, I keep chat and VOIP enabled. The chat is amusing at times, and I can always mute the raging neck beards on VOIP.

Turned sound off long time ago (when no VOIP) due to kids and noise & I have never turned it back on. I chat to make calls when possible but as I learned to play best I could without VOIP, ive never turned sound on since. Too bad VOIP didn't come to the game earlier.

edit to add: as per above poster I do play after a few drinks and sometimes play bad/ fun mechs or try new builds on purpose, im having fun, too bad if you aren't.

So i announced the team i was drunk.

In a 100 ton mech, called the Atlas.

I played one match entirely drunk and i smashed and wrecked steel faces all over the place.

I was suprised by my peformance.

So was my team.

Wished i recorded the chat through VOIP everyone cheered afterwards.

Felt like a boss.

Everyone knows, playing drunk is op and should have been nerfed long ago :)

Macavity, Macavity, there's no cat like Macavity,
He's broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity!

I also like books and poems with cats in them! I'll say hi to you next time I see you in-game :)
