Felt the need to reserect some of the mechs I haven't touched in a while. Last month was the Catapult. I had a great time with the K2 and C1. Now It's time to bring out the Phract. It was great! I did well in most of the of the variants.

CTF-3D
CTF-IM
CTF-1X
CTF-2x


Here are a few of my choice builds. I do very well in them and maybe you might as well.



These mechs were once a force to be reconed wth. The time I had with them last night proved they still can be. I hope you try out one of these builds and have as much fun as I did.

All these builds are complete trash, excluding the 1x just because it has gauss, and even that sports too much ammo.

Haters gonna hate. Meta builds only matter when all else is equal and there's a lot of factors in the game that are never equal.

Maybe you need to improve in order to reach his ELO, i can testify Djpush gets drops with the Meta tryhards and Meta Overlords as they wish to call themselves.

Which is probably true for almost anybody, with the way matchmaking works and the rather small player base...

Haven't taken any out since the patch where they changed the hitboxes. Did you find yourself a bit more durable than before? Were most of your deaths by CT or torso loss (XL engine death)?

Hmmmm..... Come to think of it... It does feel a little more tankish. The problem is, anyone who has played this game long enough knows the Phracts weak points. It's STs are always targeted.

I never follow the meta. I like to get creative with builds and have fun with the game. It isn't for everyone. I start threads like this to share builds that I have found to make the game very enjoyable for myself. If you ever get tired of the same ole' thing.. Try one of these out. Enjoy gentlemen, I hope to see you on the battlefield!

I will post some more builds of other mechs to try in the future.

BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH FUN!! They have 2 x 5 launchers on the arm now so they come out 10 at a time.

Yeah, doing damage and not getting stomped is really boring.

Problem with the CTF right now is that PGI hasn't given it any sort of role. Anything you can build in it you can build on something else and do better.

same weapon same tactic with every mech (out of the 5-6 mechs you can use) IS boring. I'm sure you found bouncing around like a poptart every match a lot of fun back in the day?
