Hi.
In MWO/Game/Textures.pak/Textures/Particles, there are .dds files for smoke.
I'm wondering if it were possible to compress/erase the contents of the .dds files to remove the la g and fps drop from heavy explosion and burning smoke.
Does the client run a file check every time it starts the game or loads a map?
Is any modification completely against the game rules?
Are the .pak files locked so that any modification and recompression by a .7zip or .rar editor causes massive corruption of the file?
