I'm just curious what the Marik, Liao, and Davion units with permanent contract are going to do for the Tukayyid event. Do you guys regret never facing the clans? Do you plan to play board games this weekend instead?

I don't have a permanent contract, but have played against clans plenty as a Davion.
The only thing we cant do is attack clans, we get plenty of practice defending, which is all we can do for this event anyway. Don't see an issue. Player ability, mechs and coordination will be more important than which faction you belong to.
Some of the best teams we face of against regularly belong to the Dracs and Liao, it will be much better fighting with them against the vat spawn than against them, at least for a little while.

Say what? Plenty of fights against clan units from the south side of the map.

that is why this event will be interesting, it will give units a chance to fight units they never fought before.

In the Oceanic TZ the only games you can get on a regular basis are against clans. Usually Wolves or JF.

I'm not asking if you regret going IS instead of clan, I'm asking if you regret fighting IS-v-IS so much.
I know this has made me wonder about any future IS-v-IS tournement, since 95% of my drops were against clan, and most of the remainder was against IS teams that would only light-rush. I've actually considered doing some temp service in other IS houses & clans just to get some IS-v-IS and clan-v-clan experience.
