Needless to say, Mechwarrior wasn't an option on either of them, nor on my Atari 2600.

You know that Crescent Hawks Inception had a C64 Version?
The best was the Amiga Version.
I gifted the C64-Version to somebody...playing it myself with the PC Version on a Suntac 286 AT 12 MHz with useless 2 MB of Ram bcs the Computershop did not sell me the Ram Management Software with the Computer, not even a DOS. it was weekend short to shop closure and i was out of money hunting a cheap DOS...lol...did not get one but the HD was formatted with the /s affix and booted up at least with the command.com so i had the very basic functions available.
But Mechwarrior, made by the guys from Dynamix (Red Baron anyone?), was the first Mechgame and the first PC-Game i bought with that Computer together.

Hah, CPC464 was my first one, too, except that I got the color monitor. That epic in-built tape drive that was faster than Commodore's unmodified stock floppy drive! Had it stored in the basement till about 4 years ago. then a minor flooding there took it out of commission...
