So I saw Matt Newman's post stating his first computer was a p2 133 with MW2 and it made me reminisce about my first beauty, an XT with my very first PC game, Battletech: Crescent Hawks Inception. Oh how I loved that game.
Anyone else want to talk about their first time?

486 DX2 66mhz with a whopping 8mb of memory running MS DOS 6. Mechwarrior 1 (and eventually MW2). I think I had a boot disk specifically for Mechwarrior 2 to properly set up the extended and expanded memory...

I forget whether I got the Timex-Sinclair 1000 or the Vic-20 first....

Needless to say, Mechwarrior wasn't an option on either of them, nor on my Atari 2600.

My very first Computer was a used Amstrad CPC 464 with a green monochrome monitor...

You know that Crescent Hawks Inception had a C64 Version?
The best was the Amiga Version.

I gifted the C64-Version to somebody...playing it myself with the PC Version on a Suntac 286 AT 12 MHz with useless 2 MB of Ram bcs the Computershop did not sell me the Ram Management Software with the Computer, not even a DOS. it was weekend short to shop closure and i was out of money hunting a cheap DOS...lol...did not get one but the HD was formatted with the /s affix and booted up at least with the command.com so i had the very basic functions available.
But Mechwarrior, made by the guys from Dynamix (Red Baron anyone?), was the first Mechgame and the first PC-Game i bought with that Computer together.

My first computer I owned was a windows 98se with 512GB DDR, 777Hz Processor and some graphics card I don't remember. Still sits in my basement. The first computer I was exposed to though is a different story, my father had both a windows 3.1 (no idea the specs but it was late 80's) and a Thinkpad for work before I got my computer.

First computer was a C=64. Then an Amiga 500 (Crescent Hawks Inception FTW!), then an Amiga 1200. First "microsoft" PC was an AMD 486DX-40 with 8MB of RAM and a 1MB VL-bus graphics card. First PC I played MW2 on was a Cyrix 686-200 with 16MB RAM and a 2MB S3 card.

Hah, CPC464 was my first one, too, except that I got the color monitor. That epic in-built tape drive that was faster than Commodore's unmodified stock floppy drive! Had it stored in the basement till about 4 years ago. then a minor flooding there took it out of commission...

My first personally owned computer was a C=64. First PC was a 386 SX 20 Mhz (without the math coprocessor). I tried the BattleTech game on the Amiga but just a couple of times. My first BTech computer game was Crescent Hawks Inception. Then I went off and made BattleTech 3025 MUSE to play online. ;)

I do not remember the original specs of my old computer. I still have it, but it has 1 Ghz processor, 128 MB graphics card and 512 MB RAM now. I should ask mom about its specs, but it was something with Win 98, slow (433 Mhz after first change) processor, a bit of RAM (no idea how much) and 10 GB of hardisk space.

Lets see...the first family computer was an Atari 800xl, then an Atari 520fm, then a 486, the a pentium 166...then I got my own PC which was an AMD athlon core some 10/12 years ago.

Back in the day, we also got to use my brother in laws spectrum, which was SWEET.

Then it was laptops and the odd cobbled together tower pc from bits I acquired.

My dad built a Sinclair when I was 8 behind the iron curtain. Started playing games and programming basic on it. First real machine, and MW 2 cockpit, was a P1-133 o/c'd to 150 with a Mach64. Had to upgrade when Mercenaries came out ;)

First computer used... TRS-80 Model III w/4KB RAM.
First computer owned... Atari 600XL
Following history... Commodore 64, Amiga 500, Timex Sinclair, TRS-80 Coco II, Apple II+, IBM PC-AT, 486 DX2-66 4MB of RAM then expanded to 8MB of RAM for $590!!!, then a bunch of custom builds throughout the years til now. Where I sit at home with my Cray T-30 trying to calculate the meaning of life.
