This. Besides, we'll be flooded with Hatchetmen, so all other mechs will cease to be important. This is explained in many, many journals that I just made up.

Seems to me that questions are rarely answered in this Forum but i will try nonetheless:

If i buy a resistance II pack, lets say the top tier mauler pack, and later i buy another variant of the mauler (e.g. the MAL-2P or another MAL-1R (because i would like to have one without resistance camo pattern)), do i also get free faction camo patterns of my chosen factions for them or do i have to buy the faction patterns separately?

Yes, if you bought a pack the faction camo patterns are unlocked for the chassis, not just individual mechs.
