My guess is 6 in a combat situation, if they're all bunched up, pretty like.
I'd say 7 to 8 in a controlled environment.

Why would you even want to do that? You're supposed to keep them on target to deal maximum damage

I like to use my lasers as a paint brush and gently spritz my opponents with concentrated light. You go ahead and burn a single hole in them.

In a single shot, the most you could possibly do is 8-11? I believe.
This is because all lasers work on a series of 'ticks'.
Each tick will do a fraction of the damage.
The beam must be over the target when the 'tick' occurs to cause damage.
Each laser flavour is slightly different, but from memory it's between 6 and 11 for any given type.
