Close after the patch I noticed that my damage with laser boats has gone up by almost 1/4 , though I still had a dual ERPPC hit in the rear of an firestarter who was just running an it did no damage... so some things are still the same.
Anyone else notice better detection for lasers?

I will try tonight.. Would be happy if something was done however... Russ mentioned that the Devs will only start working on lasers HSR after fixed the new mechlab and mechlab bugs.
But I do wonder, after this patch and fixing of everyone borked .PAK files... Does it do anything for hit detection ?
Came across a heavily lag shielded FS last night.. ERPPC kept passing through him.. So annoyed and his ping was 69ms !

The missing hitreg really starts to drive me away from this game. This has to be top priority!

Basically all hitreg is random now. 400 SRM-msl to Hellbringer and it doesn't die...******* motivating.

i was going to agree with the OP, but everything went back to normal around midnight and hitreg dissappeared again. Where i was ripping 5-800 every match, i can barely break the 200 mark again

I've been running 3 hunchbacks recently (levelling) and noticed bad registration with the AC20. It is frustrating and should be top priority, it is the corner stone of the game....game play that is.

I've played matches all around in many different times of the day and the lasers have a constant lag to register. They take about 100 - 150 ms later to reg (red crosshair) which is about the same time my ping has (~110 ms)
I have to pre-aim my shots (like ACs) to make them register properly and even then they tend to not reg at full damage.
Another point are the light mechs which fail to reg up to 80% of the damage I deal to them visually - yes, even if they stand still.
This is one of the most basic fundaments of this game!

Bad Hit Registration is still there. The weird thing is when the battle was going on, the hit registration was normal again. But after the patch and the reset of CW it went downwards again. Only had 232 damage with a Grasshopper where the hit indicator didn't lit at all while aiming at CT. My ping is perfect around 88. Got a fiber connection. At a normal game I easily get around 700 damage in a heavy mech.
Also, when I destroy a mech I see the notification after at least .5 second. This is just bad programming of PGI. Netcode is horrible.
