is it just me or did the balance switch from the clans being the so called advance tech to the IS? because I think the quarks might have swung the balance a little too far..

That's the objective, then they quirk the Clan mechs, then they overquirk some IS mechs and so on.

just a general thing.. I'm not saying it is or is not.. it just felt that way to me. It can also come down to that I've just had the luck of getting matched to better more skilled pilots.. Idk.. this is why I'm asking the rest of you..

To help balance the game as it sits here are examples but the entire lineup of mechs needs to be looked at.

1. internal quirks -- bumping the internals too much -- TDR 15 point side torso quirk = more than a 100 ton mech drop to 10 points also the CT bump of 24 points down to 12-15 points. Atlas and KC doesn't need more armor period
2. Put on ALL mechs the following ghost heat for lasers -- 1.00 sec gh window , clan and IS 2 Large , 4 Med , 6 small
3. Set GH on ALL U/ACs to .25secs on 2s and 5s .4secs 10s and 20s with same 3,2,1 limits as it sits
4. Relook at duration , heat , range etc on all lasers
5. Up PPC speeds to 1500 m/s , set IS PPC to 8 heat / 11 dmg ,, ERPPC 10 heat / 13 dmg , CERPPC 12 heat / 15 dmg no splash set GH to 2 with a 1sec window
6. Increase hill climb by 10% to help eliminate getting stuck as much
7. Use the latest CW maps and import them to reg drops.

yeah, see Is tech should not match the CLan tech, until they release the lost tech. and Armor and internals for lighter mech should not equal more then heavier mechs..

Nope they didnt... but the ELO/MM system needs an overhaul for sure. Some serious issues there...

IF YOU HEAR... "what is the map button again?" in game then you know something has gone bad... and yeah... balance... start there.

2. Nope,that would lock IS to 42 point alpha at current situation,clans at 54,clear advantage there.

5. Do you really want to see lights become useless? This will mean that any Timber-tart pilot can oneshot any light at 660 meter range if he has decent aim,even to a moving target. The PPC + Gauss desync is the sole reason you dont see poptarts really anymore.

6. Buy the module,equip jump jets or learn positioning.


Basically you are just saying that people want an I WIN - button,that is not balance,its revenge,plain and simple.

LOLOLOLOL you have to be joking right? 3 years and the mechs are still like butter because of overpowered weapons and no defensive capabilities.

2 That depends on the mech the IS ERlarge can outrange clan by nearly 200m also clan has more alpha but more duration = spread damage and more heat so your point is invalid from a playing aspect.

3. interesting point maybe slow it down to 1200m/s to offset your valid point. Pair of guass can one shot a light too

4. why pay for something that PGI needs to fix , very few mechs have JJs and most that do are hard locked , I don't have a problem being where I need to be or go thus the reason Iam one of 3 drop commanders for 267.

Revenge for?? LMAO whatever
