So to keep things on the positive I wonder if there is any hope we will see new maps soon. Enjoy this game but need some new battlegrounds to keep interest in the game. I have to think I'm not the only one getting bore with the same rotation.

They just announced one. Figure 1 per month for cw till all the planet art resources have been used at least once

I haven't heard anything about new maps for the public queue, but to be honest, I'd rather that they spent time making the old maps bigger and better, like they're doing with River City. There's so many maps on rotation right now that every time they add a new map, you have to play through a dozen tiny, old maps you're sick to death of to get the new maps you like. If they made River City, Forest Colony and Frozen City 2-3 times bigger, it would improve my MWO experience so very much.

I'd be happy if we can play the CW maps in pub queue, just without gates'n stuff. Every map counts

I wouldn't mind just variants of existing, larger maps.
Give me an Terra Therma (Mordor) that has some of the terrain zoned as out of bounds.
Or give me versions on the larger maps that have different spawn locations and don't tell us which variant of the map we're getting in skirmish mode. You could see people spawn in the southeast and southwest corners of Alpine, march to the middle, only to run into each other and turn to meet before getting there.

if i remember right they statet somewhere that making cw maps is far easier than doing normal maps because you got spawn points and a clear goal
that isnt give in normal maps you can go left right etc there is more to take care of
sure i would love to see more normal maps but keep in mind balacing is hard there and i guess they are doing 1-2 new maps when they got a decent cw map rotation (perpahs 12-15 maps?)
and just to throw it in i love to see a urba map in a vulcaic region urban combat + heat of terra therma what could be more awesome ^^

We need bigger maps with different options of play instead of just a bunch of center focused maps be nice for more variety.

What I'm wondering is why there is only one map made with each set of assets, I wouldn't mind 4-5 maps with each kind of terrain type. Making new assets for each map seems a bit inefficient.
I'd love to see a big city map, without open terrain and water. Just straight up fighting in streets among buildings all over the map. They could reuse river city and crimson buildings.
A rural map, with sunshine and farms, large and open. They could reuse forest colony and emerald taiga and just add some new buildings.
It doesn't always have to be unique and fresh, just provide good varied gameplay. We don't spend our time looking at your artwork anyways.
