I must say, having just bought my second Locust, this is a really REALLY fun mech. I picked up the -PB when it was 50% off, and though I am blinded by machine gun flashes, it is ridiculously fun.

Then picked up the -1E with CBills, and running the 6 SPLas build is also stupendously fun.

So I am certainly in the market, as it were, for a third Locust, so that I may, to borrow a phrase from a beloved VWE game Red Planet - "Go fast, go splat!"

Well I've done a Commando with 2 Medium Pulses running at 167.5kph, with a narc and got most kills and damage a couple times. I'm sure I can make the locust do some wonders. It'll be fun to run around in something even smaller than the commando, and running slightly fast. I always love to see locusts on the field, it'll be fun to actually be one for a change.

I really want to do an ER large laser for the 50% extra range quirk for crazy range, but I'll probably end up using 2 Machineguns and 2 Medium pulses to go with the other quirks (especially since I don't think my laptop could handle aiming accurately at that distance while running around). We'll just have to see.

I was once told that to be a true light pilot I must master atleast three locusts and actually enjoy commandos. Managed the latter, atleast.
