I really enjoyed the Battle of Tukayyid event and the rewards offered but I was thinking maybe CW could be made more important with battles like this. Maybe Clans could start with really heavy bonuses (weapon bonuses or damage bonuses or damage reduction or something) to show the intial shock of IS invasion. Then we could have big events like attacking Captiols and the Battle of Tukayyid type events where these bonuses are lowered, removed and finally countered and as the Clans get deeper and closer to Terra (with maybe a Battle of Terra being a huge swing in these bonuses) it gets much harder for them to win.
This might actually make the system function more dynamically and also make the invasion Inner Sphere go more like the Lore. Maybe each major battle could have a small reduction of Clan bonuses (or increase of IS ones) if the Clans win or a large reduction of Clan bonuses (or increase of IS ones) if they IS wins.
I don't want to suggest values or specific bonuses but it just sounded like a fun way to make CW a little less static. What do you guys think?
