One of the cooler cash-shop items in WarThunder is a "Talisman" that you can buy to equip, permanently, to a non-premium vehicle (think CBill mech versus hero) that will give it the same bonus to credit rewards as a premium vehicle.

For this game, basically you would shell out some MC for an item to equip to your favorite CBill mech to give it the same CBill bonus as a hero.

This wouldn't take anything away from hero mechs, and it would guaranteed be a giant cash cow. I can personally think of at least two CBill mechs of mine that I would slap one on.

Obviously there would be certain restrictions: can't go on a hero, champion, loyalty, invasion, phoenix etc. mech that already gets CBill or XP bonus.

I like this, though i don't think it should be as good as a hero. Like a 15% bonus instead of 30%. And maybe it should occupy a module slot.

As far as the actual bonus percentage, I suppose it would depend on the price. One possibility is to scale the price based on the mech's weight - this would make more sense than scaling it by base MC cost, since that takes into account the stock equipment. Basically, you would try to price it so that the total MC cost of the mech plus talisman would equal or slightly exceed the cost of a hero mech. In this case, I would expect the full bonus. If the cost came out to a fair bit less than a hero, then the reward should be scaled commensurately.

The only real issue is avoiding making hero mechs obsolete. You don't want people who have put down cash for heroes to feel that their purchase means less. That said, I fell like hero mechs should really stand or fall on their own - the fact that they get CBill bonus should not be the only reason to pilot one. Hero mechs should be designed or quirked to be just as competitive as the CBill variants. However, there are only a few heroes that are actually worse than their CBill counterparts - the Banshee hero, the Pretty Baby, arguably the Dragon twins, and maybe the Hellslinger (or whatever its called).

The vast majority of hero mechs are just as good or better than the other CBill variants, so allowing players to purchase a permanent CBill bonus for their CBill mechs shouldn't do much to dent the sale of heroes.

So, please respond, would you the players pay MC to give your standard mech variants a permanent CBill bonus?

the permanent might be the perfect answer actually, to not make hero's obsolete I mean. If you could purchase one, yes, one and only one C-Bill boost module, you could equip it to one mech one match, then through it on another a different match. Buy two, and that's all you need for all of your mechs (except the hassle of moving them). In a way, that permanent upgrade is just the same as transforming your mech into a hero mech. Though, deciding how much that would cost could be an issue. If it's cheaper that an actual hero mech, people would just buy the cbill boost and never a hero, because they could balance it out with the c-bill purchase of the mech. I think to balance that it just needs to earn less than what a hero mechs earns.

Anyway, that's just a bunch of rambling, stray thoughts. As to whether or not I would buy the cbill upgrade....HECK YEAH! Throw that on my Mad Dog and Timby and I'm set. I'd take it in a heart beat! :)

Obviously it'd scale via tonnage, but why not full 30%?
